As things stand the top two in the Championship are both drawing 0-0.

Fulham and West Brom are only separated by goal difference in the table, and remain two points ahead of the chasing pack as things stand.

And just like that the teams are back out for the second half and we're back under way.

• The pick of the goals so far have been brilliant volleys from Port Vale's Ben Garrity and Crawley's Tom Nicholls, who have stylishly put their sides into leads against Swindon and Carlisle respectively.
• Leyton Orient have heaped misery onto bottom side Oldham with two goals in eleven minutes.
• Mansfield also have it all to do in the second half as they are 2-0 down at Walsall.
• Exeter captain Matt Jay has set an example by heading his side into a first-half lead at Scunthorpe.
• Jamile Matt has fired wide for second-placed Forest Green Rovers, who are looking to keep pace with early table-toppers Harrogate.

• Ipswich Town and Bolton Wanderers are involved in a thriller at Portman Road. Bolton have just retaken the lead against the hosts. They're 3-2 up against the winless Tractor Boys.
• Lincoln have blown Cambridge United away, they're 3-0 up after Hakeeb Adelakun had put them in front after just 24 seconds. The quickest goal of the EFL season so far.
• Leaders Sunderland had taken the lead against high-flying Accrington but Accy have since pegged the Black Cats back. It's 1-1 at the Stadium of Light.
• Wimbledon are third as it stands, leading Morecambe 1-0, while Plymouth have also jumped up the table, they're beating Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 at the break.
• At the bottom, Crewe equalised at the end of the first period at Shrewsbury, while Doncaster are currently being held 1-1 by Wigan.

• Struggling Sheffield United took the lead against Peterborough thanks to a goal from Iliman Ndiaye but Jack Marriott levelled for Posh before the break.
• Blackburn are 2-0 up at home against Luton and Bournemouth lead Barnsley 1-0.
• Lowly Reading fell behind at home to QPR but John Swift has levelled for the Royals.
• West Brom forward Karlan Grant saw his penalty saved in first half stoppage time against Millwall, where it remains 0-0.

That's the vast majority of today's EFL games at half-time.

Let's catch up with all of the action so far.

The hosts get a penalty as Grady Diangana is fouled in the area.

Sol Bamba is starting for Middlesbrough today, and the big centre-back has just had an overhead kick following a corner saved by Coventry's Simon Moore.

The ball is slipped through brilliantly by Preston's Ryan Ledson to Sean Maguire who fires an effort at goal on the angle which clatters against the bar.

Preston have done everything but score in this first half.

Swansea have controlled this game so far but Hull City's rearguard are standing firm for now.

For all their passing and probing, Swansea have only threatened Matt Ingram from distance - through a Matt Grimes free-kick and Kyle Naughton's crisp drive.

On each occasion, the Tigers keeper saved well.

Grant McCann looks the more agitated of the two bosses for now - presumably because his team have spent almost all of the match defending.

Not masses to shout about at Blackpool, but Fulham midfielder Jean Michael Seri has just sent a powerful long-range drive wide of Chris Maxwell's goal.

The table-topping Whites have had more of the ball but have only mustered one shot on target so far.

After the Baggies had claims for a penalty for a challenge on Kyle Bartley, Millwall's Jed Wallace has a header saved by Sam Johnstone.

From the resulting corner, Scott Malone balloons a shot over the Albion bar.

A powerful low volley from close range by Tom Nicholls has put Crawley 1-0 up against Carlisle.

It's a similar story for Port Vale's Ben Garrity, who has smashed the ball into the Swindon net to fire his visiting side into the lead.

Walsall and Leyton Orient still boast 2-0 advantages.

Cheltenham are leading Charlton 2-0, while Ipswich have equalised against Bolton, it's 2-2 at Portman Road.

Accrington have also levelled against Sunderland, it's 1-1, while Wigan have pegged back Doncaster, also making it 1-1.

MK Dons v Portsmouth is the only game in the third tier which hasn't seen a goal so far.

The hosts are without a win from their five league games so far this season but they're in charge at Bramall Lane today.

Veteran Billy Sharp has twice gone close to adding to their lead.
