  1. goal

GOAL - Man Utd 1-3 Chelseapublished at 48 mins

    Alessia Russo

A bright start to the second half for Man Utd!

It's an instant impact from substitute Alessia Russo. She makes a great run to meet Ella Toone's through all and her shot across goal is deflected in off Millie Bright.

  2. 'Excitement about Russo'published at 13:38 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    Man Utd 0-3 Chelsea

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Two

It'll be interesting to see what Mark Skinner does with Alessia Russo. Man Utd need goals - it's as simple as that so I expect she'll go up front with Ella Toone in a 4-4-2.

She's a young forward but when she broke into the team there was a lot of excitement about her.

I expect Chelsea to start quickly though again in the second half.

  3. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    Man Utd 0-3 Chelsea

We are back under way at Leigh Sports Village!

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    Man Utd 0-3 Chelsea

Man Utd make the only change at the break, with Alessia Russo replacing Lucy Staniforth.

  5. 'Not a surprise'published at 13:34 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    HT: Man Utd 0-3 Chelsea

    Kelly Smith
Former England striker on BBC Two

It's not a surprise to see Chelsea playing like this.

From the off, they were on the high press, on the front foot and Manchester United just couldn't get out.

They hunt in packs and it got them goals.

  6. Watch: Kerr scores Chelsea's third goal against Man Utdpublished at 13:33 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

  8. 'Toone isolated'published at 13:29 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    HT: Man Utd 0-3 Chelsea

    Kelly Smith
Former England striker on BBC Two

Before the game we spoke about how crucial Ella Toone is for Man Utd but she's been completely isolated.

It's been so hard to get her into the game. Some of her body language has been a bit huffy but she just needs to keep going.

You can see her frustration because her teammates aren't finding her when she's making space.

  9. Team news - Two changes for Brighton and Villapublished at 13:25 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

Brighton v Aston Villa (14:00 BST)

Hope Powell's Brighton host Aston Villa as they look to maintain their perfect start to the season of two wins from two. Rinsola Babajide and Ellie Brazil both come into the starting XI for the hosts.

The visitors also make two changes, with Ramona Petzelberger and Freya Gregory both starting.

  10. Postpublished at 13:25 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

With another two WSL games getting under way at 14:00 BST, now seems like a good time to take a look at the team news.

  11. 'Plan B?'published at 13:22 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    HT: Man Utd 0-3 Chelsea

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Two

You've got to be big enough and brave enough to change the philosophy.

You have to read the situation and if playing out from the back is not on then you have to go to Plan B.

The players on the pitch need to assess and make the decision. You can't say they hadn't been warned.

  12. Harder's superb solo strikepublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    HT: Man Utd 0-3 Chelsea

Speaking of Harder's strike, here it is in all its glory.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    Man Utd 0-3 Chelsea

A dominant first-half display from the reigning champions. Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr scored easy close-range finishes either side of that brilliant solo Pernille Harder strike.

Man Utd's defending let them down there and they have a mountain to climb if they want to somehow keep their 100% record intact.

  14. 'Game, set, match'published at 13:16 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    Man Utd 0-3 Chelsea

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Two

    Unbelievable.

I don't want to sound harsh, it's so hard to stop Chelsea doing this but Man Utd are playing into their hands.

You have to manage the game. Chelsea are in Man Utd's face, on the front foot and they haven't been able to deal with it.

    Game, set and match now.

  15. goal

GOAL - Man Utd 0-3 Chelseapublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    Sam Kerr

It's almost a carbon copy of the first goal.

This time the roles are reversed as Fran Kirby squares it for Sam Kerr to stroke home.

    Too easy.

    Media caption,

Kerr scores Chelsea's third goal against Man Utd

  16. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Man Utd 0-2 Chelsea

That could and should have been 3-0. Mary Earps passes the ball straight to the Chelsea forwards and Fran Kirby nicely tees up Pernille Harder, but her effort is well-saved by the goalkeeper.

  17. 'A pleasure'published at 13:08 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    Man Utd 0-2 Chelsea

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Two

It's been a pleasure watching Sophie Ingle, Pernille Harder and Melanie Leupolz so far today in midfield for Chelsea.

They're so fluid, they interchange so smoothly.

It's very hard to keep up with them.

  18. Kirby's 50th WSL goalpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    Man Utd 0-1 Chelsea

Here's another look at Chelsea's opener after just two minutes.

Man Utd will be disappointed with that defending, but it's all about that unselfish ball from Sam Kerr and Fran Kirby's 50th WSL goal.

  19. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Man Utd 0-1 Chelsea

Pernille Harder spots Sam Kerr in a bit of space on the right and the Australian is in a great position to shoot, but the offside flag is up. A let-off for Man Utd.

  20. 'Thing of beauty'published at 12:58 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    Man Utd 0-2 Chelsea

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Two

That's wonder woman in a blue shirt there!

She shrugged off the Manchester United defenders, she was so explosive and went straight for goal. And then to have the poise to dink it over Mary Earps.

A thing of beauty from Pernille Harder.

This was not part of the plan for Mark Skinner and Man Utd.
