That's Jonny Hayes on now. He'll go to left-back, with Jack McKenzie stepping into a more central defensive role.

Or maybe it will be a reshuffle to a back four? We'll keep an eye out for any tactical changes.

Uh-oh. Qarabag play on as Andrew Considine collapses in a heap, holding his knee. The attack fizzles out but the Aberdeen defender is receiving treatment now and it's not looking good.

It's a massive game for Aberdeen in terms of status and finance. I'm fascinated to see how it goes. Qarabag are serial qualifiers for group stages, but their record over the last 18 months is nothing to be frightened of. I think if Aberdeen show verve and confidence they can get through

It's going to be a difficult one for Aberdeen tonight. There's no way you can play silky football on that pitch. The temperature will go against them as well. But they've got players they can impose on the game. Ramirez is in sensational form

  18. Pitch no problem for Glasspublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 19 August 2021

    Qarabag v Aberdeen (17:00)

Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack took to Twitter last night to voice concerns over the state of the pitch.

However, manager Stephen Glass was quick to play it down.

"It is going to be the same for both teams," he said during his media conference. "Hopefully it means they won’t be cutting through us passing it on the grass.

"It is not like we are used to playing at Hampden every week. When it gets to winter the boys are used to playing on pitches that aren’t the best."
