  4. GOAL! Ross County 1-3 Rangerspublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Alfredo Morelos

No mistake this time from Alfredo Morelos.

County midfielder Jordan Tillson's awful clearance from a Calvin Bassey cross goes straight to Glen Kamara and the Finn feeds Morelos for a sclaffed finish by the Colombia striker into the far corner.

    Ross County 1-2 Rangers

Connor Randall is booked for clattering Rangers' Calvin Bassey on the edge of County's box.

It's prime position for a fee-kick, but Romania midfielder Ianis Hagi fires wastefully high and the hosts survive.

  11. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Hearts 0-0 Aberdeen

Shouts for an Aberdeen penalty as Peter Haring scuffs Calvin Ramsay's cross onto his own arm.

Would have been so, so harsh, but the handball rule is a bit mental these days.

  14. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

All three games remain in the balance as the whistles go at the three Premiership grounds.

If it stays like this, it will be very tight at the top with three sides tied on seven points from three games.

  15. Stretching the imaginationpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    HT: Hearts 0-0 Aberdeen

    Michael Stewart
Former Hearts midfielder on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

There's been a lack of quality in that final third, but it's been enjoyable and part of that is down to the needle between the two teams. If I was either manager, I would be emphasising the need to stretch the game as it's congested in the middle area

  16. County have more beliefpublished at 15:55 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    HT: Ross County 1-2 Rangers

    Billy Dodds
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

The last five minutes you could see County growing in belief and so it's all set up for a good second half

  17. Drawing a line under first halfpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

HT: St Johnstone 0-0 Dundee United

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at McDiarmid Park

No goals at the break in Perth, but a decent game nonetheless.

Very little between the sides and perhaps that is not too surprising when you consider that the two teams contested four draws in their four encounters last term.

As the half wore on, the chances dried up a bit, but the endeavour didn't and some pretty tasty challenges in the midfield engine room summed up the nature of this game.

  18. HALF-TIME St Johnstone 0-0 Dundee Unitedpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

A first half of diminishing returns. A high-quality start followed by a scrappy finish.

Very keenly contested, though, so let's see what the second-half brings.

  19. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    St Johnstone 0-0 Dundee United

St Johnstone are crying for a penalty here as Charlie Mulgrew jumps into the back of Chris Kane in the box. The United captain was challenging for the ball, but he got nowhere near it. Not given.

  20. HALF-TIME Ross County 1-2 Rangerspublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

Rangers were absolutely cruising after quickfire goals from Joe Aribo and Connor Goldson in a flying start.

But Harry Clarke's strike has given County hope for the second half.
