Willem Mevius: The new format has definitely improved the standard. All Europa League groups have teams you would normally expect in the Champions League. Should be some tasty encounters there.
Couple of more decent snippets stat wise.
Leicester City have never before faced a side from Italy (Napoli), Russia (Spartak Moscow) or Poland (Legia Warsaw) in any European competition although I should probably qualify that by saying they have only played in Europe five times previously.
Well unless you include the Anglo-Italian Cup!
Celtic have never before won an away European match in Germany, drawing three and losing nine of their 12 trips, while they've failed to score in all-but-three of those matches.
'Oh lovely' I imagine Celtic fans are thinking.
West Ham are the 17th different club to represent England in the group stage of the Uefa Europa League.
And the Hammers look like they have a pretty decent draw there.

One pot left to draw. Not sure Marcos Senna has done Celtic any favours so far. Group G looks tough.
Marcos Senna is drawing the balls in the draw.
Remember him as a very good player.
He was at Villarreal for 11 seasons played 363 games.
Celtic go into Group G with Bayer Leverkusen.
Leicester City go into Group C with Napoli.
Rangers go into Group A with Lyon.

In the case of associations with two or more representatives (including in the Uefa Europa Conference League), clubs have been 'paired' in order that they play at different kick-off times for the benefit of television audiences.
If a 'paired' club is drawn, for example, in Group A, B, C or D then the other 'paired' club – once drawn – will automatically be assigned to the first available section out of Groups E, F, G or H.
Final Ambassador Andres Palop and special guest Marcos Senna are taking their place on stage. We're about to get under way.

Before things really get going, we've got the Europa League player of the season award being handed out.
Unsurprisingly Gerard Moreno takes the prize after helping Villarreal win the competition last term.
Manchester United duo Bruno Fernandes and Edinson Cavani finished in second and third.
