How have Stoke missed another glaring opportunity?

It's a golden chance for Stoke.

West Brom go close!

Great save from Sam Johnstone! He's saved the day there. His reflexes are unbelievable.

Another great Stoke move and perhaps their second-best chance of the night.

The perfect ball into the middle comes the way of Sam Surridge but his shot is straight at Sam Johnstone.

A decent long throw comes in from Darnell Furlong.

He is in good company as throwing sensation Rory Delap is on the bench, now fulfilling coaching responsibilities at Stoke.

Powell takes the kick himself and it goes high and over the bar.

So, Mario Vrancic will probably take the next one!

No problem for Sam Johnstone, or the crossbar for that matter.

But Stoke have yet another opportunity as Nick Powell is fouled when trying to surge through a gap between two players.

This one is a bit further out, around 25 yards.

This is the biggest crowd of the season - 22,703 - in eight home games at the bet365 Stadium this season.

That is swelled by a very healthy 2,886 from the Black Country, who are in very good voice.

And with the Stoke fans making a lot of noise, it is creating a tremendous atmosphere.

A lunge by Kyle Bartley and another free kick for Stoke.

The delivery will come from the right.

Vrancic again?

After three goals in two games, Karlan Grant's stellar week is over as he is replaced by West Brom winger Grady Diangana.

Sam Surridge is on to replenish Stoke's strikeforce.

Brown is onside this time and takes a shot early.

It drifts well wide, but he is looking more and more menacing up front for Stoke City.

The hosts are looking like they are marginally the stronger side all over the pitch at the moment.

However, there isn't much in it.

Jacob Brown is cursing his luck.

He is put through on goal again, but this time he is narrowly offside.

That follows Jacob Brown hitting the post in the first half.

Stoke have a free kick in a dangerous position just outside the penalty area.

If West Brom are going to pick up their third consecutive win and move clear at the top of the Championship, they need to test Stoke keeper Adam Davies more in the second half.

Stoke will have to take confidence from their first-half chances but they will be annoyed that it is still 0-0.

The booing and whistling was ringing around the bet365 Stadium for several minutes in the run-up to half-time.

What would have been a comic headed own goal by Darnell Furlong was chalked off by referee Tim Robinson as he had seen Callum Robinson go down as he challenged Mario Vrancic.

There is now a real sense of grievance as the fans troop off for their pies, sausage rolls and hot beverages.

Stoke have come out with the intention that they need to match Albion and they have done that.

They are causing all sorts of problems and Albion haven't really achieved anything in the final third against Stoke.

But it's still 0-0 from Albion's point of view and there's a lot of sorting out for the manager to do in the dressing room.

The Championship leaders started brightly, with Callum Robinson drifting into the channels and having four shots.

But Stoke should be ahead.

Jacob Brown dramatically hit the post when through on goal, and minutes before the half-time whistle, the hosts had a goal ruled out because of a foul by Mario Vrancic.

His hopeful pass forward eventually resulted Darnell Furlong heading into his own net.
