  1. CLOSE!published at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Everton 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs are looking to go direct everytime they get the ball.

Harry Kane nearly sets Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg free before Lucas Moura jinks and jives into the area but a low strike is blocked by Michael Keane.

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

I think the biggest casualty of that disallowed Arsenal goal was Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe's hopes of creating a new Fifa computer game goal celebration as they both laid down in front of the pitchside camera, grinning from ear to ear.

Maybe they'll get another chance to recreate it, although there's been nothing in the way of chances since that Saka goal was ruled out.

In 40 years I'd never been happier or felt as secure as a Villa fan than when we had Dean Smith as our boss. A man who genuinely cared and supported the club. He'd been through difficulties with us before and turned it around and I honestly thought he would again. I'm really sad. Now we'll get another spell of second-rate managers come for the money. Dean; thank you for everything you did for us. You were loved and you will be missed.

    Rob, Wimbledon.

    Everton 0-0 Tottenham

This new Tottenham under Antonio Conte is getting stuck in.

Ben Davies leaves one late on Anthony Gordon but the referee waves play on.

  5. 'Reguilon didn't need to do that'published at 14:15 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Everton 0-0 Tottenham

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Sergio Reguilon didn't need to do that. It's very early in the game and he'll now come under pressure.

Andros Townsend does very, very well, he uses his body and gets across. If somebody's charging at you, get across them, they'll touch you straight away and get in trouble.

An indication of the possessional dominance Arsenal are enjoying so far in this game, although Watford feel to have settled now and the hosts are finding opportunities in the final third harder to come by.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:12 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Everton 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs feel Andros Townsend is Everton's dangerman so Sergio Reguilon barges the winger over on the halfway line.

Antonio Conte likes it, applauding his player, referee Chris Kavanagh doesn't and issues a yellow card.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:11 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

An early booking for Watford striker Joshua King, whose first touch of the game is pretty much a foul on Gabriel.

I don't think his sacking is harsh. They only just scraped to stay in the Premier last season, they're sliding down that way again, and it was as always odds on they'd lose Jack Grealish. Smith was given enough money to make some decent signings, so no excuses really.

    Everton 0-0 Tottenham

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Really well worked from Everton, you could see the Everton team in front of us going back through the videos and clips, they knew that was coming, they worked it, played it short.

You just thought, could Michael Keane have headed it back across? He just couldn't get his head round it.

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 14:09 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

Bukayo Saka's goal is wiped out by VAR for offside with goalkeeper Ben Foster the other side of him when he put the ball in the net, so it is as you were but a warning for the visitors. Arsenal look in determined mood.

  12. 'A real disappointment'published at 14:09 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

Aston Villa sack manager Dean Smith

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

What an unbelievable journey Dean Smith had gone on and done, but when he said at the start of the season that he expected a top ten finish, that put the pressure on him.

It's a real disappointment for me. That shows the level we're at in the Premier League, at the bottom of that table it's getting a little bit too tight.

A very sad day for Villa fans. Dean Smith lost his trusted assistant Richard O'Kelly in the summer and that's hit hard. I was concerned when Craig Shakespeare was brought in and I just hope he's heading out as well. Thanks for everything Dean - will forever be remembered as bringing back joy to VP.

Everton's defenders are on the hunt for a goal today.

Now Michael Keane gets forward but flicks a header just over.

  15. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 14:08 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Leeds 0-0 Leicester

Leeds want a penalty as Raphinha in bundled over in the box by Ricardo Pereira.

Has to be and the referee does blow his whistle...the other way!

He's given a foul to Leicester. Incredible.

GOAL - Arsenal 1-0 Watfordpublished at 14:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

  17. CLOSE!published at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

The first piece of goalmouth action at Goodison Park.

Defender Ben Godfrey strides forward but drills a low shot straight at Hugo Lloris.

  18. 'The PL has become cut-throat'published at 14:05 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

Aston Villa sack manager Dean Smith

    Nigel Reo-Coker
Former Aston Villa midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think it's a tough decision. We're seeing the big business aspect of football now, especially in the Premier League.

Most of these clubs want that quick fix. I think it's much more about the financial gain now than anything else, it's become more cut-throat.

I believe in the long-term growth and staying with a manager. I'd love to see a Diego Simeone-style manager at Villa, someone who you have to play a certain way to get into his team.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:05 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Leeds 0-0 Leicester

Chances are flowing at Elland Road.

Leeds winger Jack Harrison gets onto his right peg and sees a deflected strike superbly tipped away by Kasper Schmeichel.

It was looping over him but the Denmark number one reacted well to claw it away.

  20. Postpublished at 14:05 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Arsenal 0-0 Watford

All Arsenal as Albert Lokonga is urged to shoot from range by the home fans but instead clips a sweet ball to Alexandre Lacazette, who can't quite wrap his foot around the ball and Watford clear.

Arsenal can go level on points with fourth place with a win today. Quite the turnaround after a terrible start to the season.
