Derby 1-1 QPR
Talking of Messi, Tom Lawrence has just skipped past four players like the great man himself.
He passes it to Nathan Byrne, who gives it back to the Welshman, who sadly for Derby fans reminds us why he isn't Messi as he fails to get a shot off and QPR clear.
Derby 1-1 QPR
Away from this match, Lionel Messi has just won the Ballon d'Or for a seventh time.
Now I appreciate he's arguably the greatest player ever to grace this planet, but I'm not sure he's been the best in 2021 - I'd have gone for Mo Salah...
Derby 1-1 QPR
QPR starting to up it now.
Charlie Austin is pinging balls around like he's Steven Gerrard in his pomp while Albert Adomah has won a corner for the visitors - but the Ghanaian blasts his shot over the bar after Kelle Roos punches away.
Derby 1-1 QPR
Worrying moment for Derby.
Charlie Austin with a fabulous cross-field ball towards Chris Willock.
Kelle Roos comes off his line but doesn't get there and eventually Liam Thompson is there to clear for Derby.
Derby 1-1 QPR
That goal for QPR means they have now scored in their past 31 successive matches.
The club record is 33 and they're not far off now.
Derby 1-1 QPR
Change for QPR - Lee Wallace limps off and is replaced by Moses Odubajo.
Looks like it's a hamstring injury for Wallace - not great for Rangers.
Derby 1-1 QPR
Almost straight away Derby go back ahead.
Nathan Byrne threads a ball into Tom Lawrence, but he shoots wide of the near post.
Chris Willock
Lovely counter attack by QPR.
Stefan Johansen steals the ball on the edge of his box - plays it forward to Ilias Chair, who in turn finds Charlie Austin on the left wing.
The striker crosses from the edge of the box to Chris Willock, who is unmarked at the back post and volleys excellently into the net.
Derby 1-0 QPR
Yoann Barbet does well to win the ball in midfield for QPR and release Chris Willock.
The Rangers forward goes down on his way towards goal - he feels he was fouled but the referee waves play on and it rolls easily into the arms of Kelle Roos.
Derby 1-0 QPR
Early chance here for Derby. Jason Knight is fouled on the right flank in a dangerous area by Andre Dozzell.
In-swinger from Max Bird is dealt with by the QPR defence.
Derby 1-0 QPR
Derby get us under way in this second half.
Can the Rams get a fifth win of the season and lift themselves onto four points or will QPR stage a comeback and get a third successive victory?
Stay tuned here to find out.....
HT: Derby 1-0 QPR
Derby's goal has come from the game's only effort on target.
That makes it sound like a bland match, but it's been perfectly watchable stuff.
Mark Warburton's QPR just need to pose more of a threat in the final third - I wonder if we'll see Andre Gray in the second half...
HT: Derby 1-0 QPR
Roger: Rob Dickie slow to react & slow afoot for the goal, showed why he won't be going to a Premier League team in January.
Dickie caught the eye with four goals in QPR's first six games this season, but does he lack in some areas defensively?
Derby 1-0 QPR
Tom Lawrence's early effort into the top corner is the difference between the two sides.
It's been the only effort of note in an industrious first half that has seen QPR have a decent chunk of possession but rarely threaten the home goal.
Lawrence has had a couple of chances at the other end, but failed to hit the target.
Derby 1-0 QPR
We will have one minute of added time.
Derby 1-0 QPR
Nathan Byrne's ball in from the right finds Derby goalscorer Tom Lawrence but he scuffs his shot from the edge of the box and it goes wide.
He might have had time to take a touch, but hindsight is 20:20 isn't it...
Derby 1-0 QPR
Worrying moment for Derby fans - Ilias Chair gets the wrong side of Phil Jagielka and is heading for goal.
Kelle Roos quickly off his line right at the edge of the box and manages to gather the ball, let go of it just as he heads out of the box and then gathers back in there.
Intelligent play from the Derby keeper.
Derby 1-0 QPR
More nice build-up play from QPR but Ilias Chair's touch is poor and Derby are able to get it away.
Frustrating times for QPR fans.
Derby 1-0 QPR
Crucial interception by QPR centre-back Rob Dickie with Tom Lawrence lurking on the left of the box.
Ball goes up the other end but Lee Wallace cannot get the better of Nathan Byrne and it's out for a Derby goal kick.
