It's so difficult playing against this relentless possession and working the ball when you're tired, but Finland are having a good go.

  10. 'Those are opportunities Finland need to take'published at 18:11 British Summer Time 8 July 2022

    Spain 2-1 Finland

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on BBC Two

That's a chance for Finland. Spain couldn't get rid of it. It just sat up a bit too high and Eveliina Summanen couldn't really get enough on it, but those are the opportunities Finland need to take when they get behind the Spain defence.

    Spain 2-1 Finland

Chance for Finland now as Spain can't clear a free-kick and Eveliina Summanen's weak shot drops into the keeper's gloves.

  12. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Spain 2-1 Finland

Irene Guerrero has a crack from distance but it's saved. If Spain score again, there will be no coming back for Finland.

  13. Postpublished at 18:06 British Summer Time 8 July 2022

    Spain 2-1 Finland

I suspect Adelina Engman was injured. She appears to be in tears.

  14. 'Finland won't change their shape'published at 18:05 British Summer Time 8 July 2022

    Spain 2-1 Finland

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on BBC Two

I think it's a like-for-like substitution - I don't think Finland will change their shape. They have defended well at times but it was just the sheer quality of Spain in that first half. The two goals were exquisite.

  15. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    The second half begins.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 18:03 British Summer Time 8 July 2022

  18. 'Putellas still a big part of this side'published at 17:57 British Summer Time 8 July 2022

    HT: Spain 2-1 Finland

    Anita Asante
Former England defender on BBC One

What a wonderful moment for Aitana Bonmati to celebrate with Alexia Putellas, so she can celebrate with the team. She's still a big part of this Spain side.

  19. Two headed goals put Spain in chargepublished at 17:54 British Summer Time 8 July 2022

    Spain 2-1 Finland

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Stadium MK

A superb response from Spain, who suffered the worst possible start to the tournament, falling behind to Linda Sallstrom's goal after only 50 seconds.

Finland even had a chance to go 2-0 ahead but Adelina Engman shot wide, but since then it's been absolute dominance from Spain, who have had 80% of the ball and 10 corners.

Finland only conceded two goals in eight matches in qualifying, but have been undone thanks to two balls into the penalty area with headed goals from Irene Paredes and Aitana Bonmati.

You would expect Spain to pull clear in the second half, but then again no-one would have expected them to concede inside a minute.
