Northern Ireland will have been disappointed to concede, but it's only 1-0 and they have a lot to fight for in the second half. They might bring fresher legs on and give it a real go in the second half.

They have been pretty dominant throughout but NI will take comfort from only being a goal behind and from a decent finish to the half.

Jackie Burns showed fast feet to move backwards quickly and tip the ball onto the bar. That may have saved the team talk for Kenny Shiels.

That was good possession play from Northern Ireland and fine control with her back to goal by Marissa Callaghan.

She just got crowded out before she could get the shot away, though.

Think it was a knock to the head in a challenge. It could also be the heat.

It's Austria's left side, with Barbara Dunst and Sarah Zadrazil, that is causing Northern Ireland problems. Their movement is excellent.

The free-kick in was deflected but Katharina Schiechtl watched it well and found space to tap home.

Austria look to build down the left again but the pass is overhit and goes out for a goal-kick.

They are looking more and more dominant.

I think the scoreline reflects the game quite well. Austria have definitely been on top, pinning Northern Ireland back. We've seen Northern Ireland get into the Austrian final third a few times, but it's been in wide areas.

Lots of discussion going on between the Northern Ireland players.

What manager Kenny Shiels has just said to them could be very important.

Getting to half-time at 1-0 down would be a positive at this stage.

I'm sure that water break is needed (it's hard going up in the press box so can't even begin to imagine how it is on the pitch) but it came just as Northern Ireland began to string some passes together.

Let's see if they can try to build some momentum once we get back under way.

Going to hazard a guess here that this water break will be welcomed by every player on the pitch.
