Although Italy have the bulk of possession, Iceland are a threat whenever they have a set piece.

For the second time, Italy play an ill-advised back-pass that almost puts Laura Giuliani in trouble.

Berglind Thorvaldsdottir is charging down on her, but the Italian keeper slides in to hammer the ball away.

Nice to see the Italian coaching staff taking following the dapper sartorial trend of Roberto Mancini and Gianluca Vialli with the men's team. Milena Bertolini looking very cool in her light grey suit.

Yep, I'm talking clothes. It's not a good sign for the quality of the game.

The Iceland fans heavily outnumber the Italians in this crowd. Every tackle and header from their players is greeted with a huge roar.

The game simply isn't flowing at the moment. So many niggly fouls causing breaks and delays.

This is only helping Iceland, with Italy desperate to build up a head of steam.

Italy's latest free-kick is aimed towards Martina Piemonte but Karolina Lea Vilhjalmsdottir is back to head away.

Iceland are inviting pressure.

They keep giving away silly free-kicks in their own half.

Italy are being a little bit wasteful with these set pieces.

They need to put in better deliveries to allow their forwards to get on the end of something in the box.

No they can't.

This is poor. They attempt to catch Iceland pout with a quick ball into the box for a runner, but it is poorly directed and over-hit and goes out of play.

Clumsy. Berglind Thorvaldsdottir clatters into Martina Rosucci in the Iceland half. Italy free-kick. They can threaten from this...

Italy continue to carve out openings. Iceland fail to properly clear a launched ball and Valentina Giacinti sends a snap shot wide.

We're a third of the way through.

Italy have seen most of the ball and had the greater number of chances, but Iceland lead.

Italy again.

Valentina Bergamaschi drives in from the right but her angled shot lacks conviction, making it a simple save for Sandra Sigurdardottir.

A long ball forward for Valentina Bergamaschi nearly catches Iceland out. But Glodis Viggosdottir comes across and clears.

Soon after, an unmarked Martina Piemonte volleys wide from a central position. She should have done much better.

It's a good one for Iceland too. Sveindis Jane Jonsdottir comes alive as Italy make a hash of clearing the ball, but after driving deep into the box she can only send her angled shot into the sidenetting.

Iceland have barely been in the Italy half since the goal. They seem content to play a containing game while waiting for their moment to counter.

Iceland are ahead for the second time in two matches at Euro 2022.

On Sunday, they let Belgium back in 17 minutes after taking the lead.

They created 23 chances in that game but still had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

They'll be mindful of that against Italy, but at least their fans are enjoying seeing their side lead.

We've already had the first Viking clap of the game - I suspect there will be more before the final whistle.

Arianna Caruso draws the first proper save from Iceland's Sandra Sigurdardottir. It is a low shot but too close to the keeper, who dives to block.

Again, Italy try to get in down the right, but Gudrun Arnardottir is too strong for the more slight Valentina Bergamaschi. Total mismatch.
