Forget what I said, Switzerland are right back in this after delivering the perfect response.

It felt like we'd be lucky to see one goal in this heat, never mind two.

Who knows how this will finish now. Game on.

  3. PENALTY TO SWEDENpublished at 18:16 British Summer Time 17 July 2022

    Sweden 3-0 Portugal

Handball from Diana Gomes. Penalty to Sweden.

  4. goal

GOAL - Switzerland 1-1 Netherlandspublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 17 July 2022

    Geraldine Reuteler (52 mins)

    Hit back immediately!

It's a lovely equaliser from Switzerland and the perfect response to falling behind.

PSG striker Romana Bachmann makes it with a driving run before pulling the ball back into the danger area.

Geraldine Reuteler is running on to it, nicking it away from Chelsea's Aniek Nouwen before opening up her body and shaping a cool finish into the net.

    The holders under pressure now.

It is a long road back for Switzerland now as they will need to find two goals while avoiding conceding another if they are to progress now and that is far easier said than done in this heat.

The Netherlands, whose players ran over to the dugout to celebrate, haven't been at their best but have managed the game well in these conditions and now have one foot in the quarter-finals.

    Sweden 3-0 Portugal

Probably should be 4-0 now as Stina Blackstenius bursts into the box down the right but Patricia Morais is quick off her line and saves with her leg.

It's poor marking - Stefanie van der Gragt just drifts off the back post. She has been the one that's threatened the most in these situations so she should really have been picked up.

Ana-Maria Crnogorcevic just gets it all wrong on the line and ends up hitting the top corner herself - not a position she would want to be in, she's not a defender. But she gets the timing all wrong.

I think the manager would have reminded them that they've come back before from 2-0 down against Switzerland and if they believe in themselves and have that mentality they've shown throughout this tournament, they actually might do something. Never know unless you try.

    Sweden 3-0 Portugal

Kosovare Asllani has registered six assists in 12 appearances over the last three Women’s Euros, twice as many as any other player. She has assisted a goal in all three games at Euro 2022.

  10. goal

GOAL - Switzerland 0-1 Netherlandspublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 17 July 2022

Stefanie van der Gragt (48 mins)

    Breakthrough!

A corner is sent deep to the back post by Sherida Spitse, Stefanie van der Gragt has a free header and nods it towards goal.

Ana-Maria Crnogorcevic is on the line but ends up spectacularly sending a diving header into the back of her own net.

  12. Portugal's mounting taskpublished at 18:09 British Summer Time 17 July 2022

    Sweden 3-0 Portugal

    Izzy Christiansen
Everton and England midfielder on BBC Red Button

It's really difficult as they're 3-0 down and knowing their state of play in the tournament, Portugal need to win this game in order to progress. I know they will give everything, but if they commit bodies forward to the attack, the gaps will be right open for Sweden and that's where we will start to see Sweden dominate and more goals will inevitably go in.

The chance from Asllani and she needs to be better. The first touch is exquisite and sets herself, but the player of her calibre, she needs to hit the target.

  14. 'Switzerland have to go for it'published at 18:06 British Summer Time 17 July 2022

    Switzerland 0-0 Netherlands

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC Two

I think Switzerland have to go for it, if I was the coach I would really want them to go for it.

If they can go for it and put that same pressure on the Netherlands that they did in the 10-15 minutes of the first half then they could get a goal and if that happens I don't see the Netherlands getting back into it.

  17. Izzy's assessmentpublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 17 July 2022

    Sweden 3-0 Portugal

    Izzy Christiansen
Everton and England midfielder on BBC Red Button

Very stop start for Sweden and you could tell that they were getting a little frustrated with the disruption and the flow of the game. They stayed strong and used all of their experience to break the deadlock and get themselves into the game. We were really pleased with that goal.

2-0 was a dangerous scoreline, but can't write Portugal off. Being 3-0 up has Sweden in a really good position.

  18. Misery for Portugalpublished at 17:58 British Summer Time 17 July 2022

    Sweden 3-0 Portugal

    Izzy Christiansen
Everton and England midfielder on BBC Red Button

Slighly short delivery here from Andersson. The keeper isn't tempted to come to the ball and leaves the space.

    Switzerland 0-0 Netherlands

    Kelly Smith
Former England striker on BBC Two

The Netherlands started slow, they had to build themselves into the game. They need to press higher up the pitch but it's hard because it's so hot - they need to play with a bit more intensity in the second half.

  20. Postpublished at 17:56 British Summer Time 17 July 2022

    Switzerland 0-0 Netherlands

    Anouk Hoogendijk
Former Netherlands defender Anouk Hoogendijk on BBC Two

The first 10-15 minutes Switzerland were the better team but after that the Netherlands came into it and now we're controlling the game so I feel comfortable with the second half.
