    Switzerland v Netherlands (17:00 BST)

Defending champions the Netherlands have won seven of their last eight matches at the Euros, drawing the other game.

Meanwhile, Switzerland are winless in seven matches in all competitions (D2 L5). They had won their six matches before hitting this poor run of form.

  3. 'Sweden have to create more chances'published at 16:43 British Summer Time 17 July 2022

    Sweden v Portugal (17:00 BST)

Sweden are ranked second in the world, only behind the United States.

But they haven't impressed too much so far, drawing with the Netherlands and needed a 79th-minute winner to beat Switzerland.

“I think we have been defending very well against the Netherlands and Switzerland, but we have a little bit of work to do in the attack," Sweden boss Peter Gerhardsson said.

"We have to create more chances and be a bit more passing through and passing forward in how we play forward."

Danielle van de Donk scored "an absolute rocket" to secure a 3-2 win for the Netherlands over Portugal in their last group game.

Sweden keeper Hedvig Lindahl is 39 and made her senior debut for her country way back in 2002 - before 19-year-old team-mate Hanna Bennison was born.

This is the first time Caroline Seger has missed a Euros match since 2005. She had started Sweden's previous 17 fixtures at the European Women's Championship.

Sweden just need a point to qualify for the quarter-finals. If they win by more goals than the Netherlands win, they will top the group.

It could be more complicated than that if they win let's say 2-1 and 1-0 but let's not worry about that for now.

Portugal will go through if they win and Switzerland don't - because head-to-head comes before goal difference, which would see them finish above Sweden.

If Portugal and Switzerland both win there's a chance of disciplinary points being a tie-breaker, but let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Current group leaders Netherlands will advance to the knockout stages if they avoid defeat against Switzerland on Sunday.

The Swiss are currently bottom of the group but will qualify if they win and Sweden avoid defeat against Portugal. Victory over the Netherlands would mean Switzerland finish above the Dutch on their head-to-head record.

After the Netherlands turned Leigh orange on Wednesday, Sweden fans have painted the Greater Manchester town blue and yellow.

The team ranked number two in the world have brought hundreds and hundreds of fans with them.

It's a scorcher and the pubs in the town with beer gardens are doing roaring business.

It's standing room only in The Centurion, where many Sweden fans have based themselves the past few hours.

I'm not convinced about the game - we haven't shown yet how good we are.

We are still not ready yet, the players don't look happy, the players are not all in their best form yet. Hopefully tonight we'll be happy but they didn't sort it out yet.

Whatever the game and wherever the venue, you can guarantee the Dutch fans will brighten the place up.

Once again orange is the colour that dominates Sheffield as they look to book their place in the quarter finals.

Congratulations to Leigh for having the coolest backdrop at a fan park at Euro 2022.

The mural in honour of Leigh-born musician Pete Shelley of the Buzzcocks in the town centre looks even better in the sunshine.

"Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)" is perhaps the Buzzcocks' must famous song.

The street art is getting a lot of love from Sweden and Portugal fans.

I think the Sheffield fan park has to be one of the best at this tournament, particularly when the Dutch are in town.

Once again they've taken over it, although the Swiss fans are also loving these two fellas in orange suits on the stage.

Whatever they were singing, which was to the Superman theme tune, had the crowd well and truly going.

The march to the ground that followed is also some sight. Great atmosphere.

Schofield Street is a stone's throw away from Leigh Sports Village. It's just like hundreds of thousands of streets up and down the country - except during Euro 2022.

It forms part of the designated fan walk from the town centre to the ground.

Last Wednesday, the orange double-decker bus Netherlands supporters marched behind stopped in Schofield Street where it pumped out dance music as fans danced in the street to the bemusement of locals.

Today, hundreds of Swedish fans have crammed down the narrow street banging drums, singing and high-fiving local residents.

    Great scenes.

As well as the bright colours the Dutch fans also have the most fun hats too!

This is Miek and John from America... America in the Netherlands.

They are of course supporting the Dutch but they do have a back up should the worst happen and they are knocked out.

"We have a cheese hat for Belgium," says Miek.

Switzerland have named an unchanged side from the one that lost to Sweden last time out.

That means Luana Buhler retains her place in the defence. Ramona Bachmann, who opened her Euro 2022 account againt Sweden, leads the attack.

A blow for the Netherlands as Vivianne Miedema has not recovered from coronavirus in time to take her place in the squad, however Jackie Groenen has recovered from the infection and takes her place in the first XI.

There is also more positive news for the Dutch in that Aniek Nouwen is fit enough to start after injuring her ankle against Sweden.

Two changes for Sweden as Jonna Andersson and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd start in place of Caroline Seger and Lina Hurtig.

The absence of highly-experienced midfielder Seger from the starting XI is a particular blow. She was a doubt to start after picking up a knock.

A bit of a surprise for Portugal for this high-stakes game. Keeper Ines Pereira is replaced by Patrícia Morais.
