Kyle: As well as having probably the best squad in the league. Chelsea are good at winning games when not at their best. Two reasons why I think they will win the league. Fantastic title race.

Kai Havertz does look in trouble, I would be very surprised if we saw him in the second half with the way he's walking.

Great game of football, both teams looking comfortable in possession but very uncharacteristic from Chelsea with the mistakes they've made at times.

Kai Havertz is being helped to limp off the pitch here. Not sure if we'll see him after the break.

Really good game this. Two committed sides, plenty of quality and a few clangers too. More of the same in the second-half please.

Kurt Zouma looks to be OK. Still waiting on Kai Havertz. He'll have the break to try and recover.

Arjun: In steps future captain Mason Mount. What. A. Finish. And great assist from Ziyech.

Armchair Football Fan: How's your technique Mason Mount? What a finish that is. Passed it into the net. Maybe keeper should do better? Shame coming from a poor ball giveaway too.

More injuries? Kurt Zouma tackles Kai Havertz to stop him getting away a shot from close range. Both players are down. Havertz looks to have come off worst.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 45 mins

This maybe explains why Mason Mount had so much space. Ben Johnson was injured and so couldn't track back to mark him. He has gone off to be replaced by Arthur Masuaku.

Optimism gets the better of Michail Antonio, who tries to fire an effort pretty much straight from the kick-off. He misses the target.

Unbelievable finish, lovely cross-field pass to the edge of the box and it's a wonderful volley from Mason Mount, it really is.

David Moyes will be fuming, West Ham were getting back into it but they've given it away and been caught out.

    Mason Mount

    What a finish!

Under the cosh in the preceding few minutes but such is Chelsea's supreme quality they only need a second to hurt a side.

Mason Mount, take a bow sir. He is picked out in the box by a deep cross from Hakim Ziyech and instead of taking a touch to bring it down like a normal player, he belts it first time on the volley into the bottom corner.

    Wonderful.

Chelsea are doing their keeper no favours.

Andreas Christensen fires a back-pass at him this time and he has no choice but to hack away. West Ham in the ascendancy, thanks mainly to the Blues.

That's a great penalty. I was wondering if David Moyes was going to bring Mark Noble on but after the last episode, maybe not...

Jorginho's second big mistake in recent games after that poor control to allow Jadon Sancho to break and score for Manchester United.

    What was he thinking?

The Chelsea fans were singing 'is this is a library?' before the goal. If it was, these home fans would be banned for life for the noise they're making now.

They've done it three or four times, Chelsea keep trying to play out and West Ham keep catching them out. Jarrod Bowen has nearly got the keeper two or three times.

    What a mess!

The ball is fed back to Edouard Mendy by Jorginho but he is under pressure immediately from Jarrod Bowen. The keeper clumsily hacks Bowen down. Clear pen.

Concern for David Moyes. He stands on the touchline, arms folded and brow furrowed. The universal stance for 'this is not going well'.
