Mark Lawrenson takes on singer-songwriter and Liverpool fan Jamie Webster for the latest round of Premier League predictions.

    Lawro's prediction: 0-2

It looks like the international break has halted West Ham's momentum because they have not won any of their three Premier League games since - and I don't see them ending that run here.

Chelsea were fortunate to win at Watford on Wednesday, and their manager Thomas Tuchel admitted it afterwards. I am expecting a reaction from them on Saturday - and a much-improved performance - because they rarely play poorly two games in a row.

Jamie's prediction: I'm going for a draw here because both teams are awkward to break down. 1-1

We'll get to all the other games in a bit. But for now, let's focus on that first game at the London Stadium...

  3. The contextpublished at 11:15 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2021

Right then, so we've got interest at the top and bottom today.

The top three are all in action, with Chelsea able to steal a march on their rivals, but facing a tricky old game at West Ham. If the Hammers win, it suddenly opens the door to them getting into that title mix (still a long shot, though).

If Chelsea do falter, Liverpool can go top with a win at Wolves. Although they could quickly lose it again, with Man City at Watford at 17:30.

An other possibility is that they all win and that three-horse race becomes even more pronounced.

Down at the bottom, the big game is at St James' Park, with Newcastle (bottom and still without a win) hosting Burnley (two places above them with one win to their name). If Eddie Howe's lads are still without a victory after this, things will look really bleak.

With Southampton and Watford also in action, a Burnley win really boosts their situation.

As it stands, only four sides in the division have a positive goal difference.

The aforementioned elite top three are in a league of their own, banging goals in left, right and centre. Let's be honest, we're looking at a three-horse race.

The only other team with a positive goal difference are West Ham - a trip to whom is shaping up to be one of the very few potential hurdles still in front of the leading trio.

And will you look at that... it's only Chelsea visiting the London Stadium this morning. Lovely stuff.
