First chance for Mo Salah.
It's lifted over the top for him. He cuts inside and almost catches out Emiliano Martinez at the near post.
The Villa keeper reacts well to make a smart one-handed save.
Arsenal 2-0 Southampton
This is much, much better by Arsenal.

Liverpool 0-0 Aston Villa
Another chance. Jordan Henderson is almost in but Tyrone Mings comes across to cover.
Villa try to break through Ollie Watkins but he goes down too easily under pressure from Joel Matip and it rolls through to Alisson.

Paul: Arsenal always look better when Lacazette plays. A few years ago we let Ramsey go by not giving him what he wanted and instead threw money at Ozil staying. That was a mistake. It will be another mistake in summer if Lacazette goes but Aubameyang stays.
Liverpool 0-0 Aston Villa
Ashley Young goes on a decent run down the left. He almost sneaks in to poke it past Trent Alexander-Arnold in the box too but Virgil van Dijk has it covered and eases it out to Fabinho on the right.
Mason Mount
Mason Mount will get the glory but this is all about Marcos Alonso.
The Spaniard wins possession before delivering an early cross into the box where Mason Mount glides between two defenders to tuck home.
Stamford Bridge erupts.
Liverpool 0-0 Aston Villa
The intensity is increasing from Liverpool. Villa have been completely blown away in this half but the home side have got nothing to show for it.
Trent Alexander-Arnold slides it through to Sadio Mane, who tries to backheel it for Mo Salah but it doesn't come off.

Liverpool are getting into dangerous areas. And when you have Alexander-Arnold and Robertson as well, you are going to create chances. They have not had to try too hard to get down the edges, and that is a worry for Steven Gerrard's side.
Liverpool 0-0 Aston Villa
Virgil van Dijk plays a stunning diagonal pass over to Trent Alexander-Arnold after Liverpool win it back on the left.
It's switched back across again before Sadio Mane wins another Liverpool corner.

Olly: You ever wondered how crucial Ben Chilwell is to this Chelsea team? Since he has gone down injured: Defensive solidity gone. Attacking flow gone. Balanced wing back play gone. Cross numbers down. Composure gone. Wins gone.

Henry: Alonso has looked awful today. Can't miss Chillwell anymore than we have, Leeds obviously clued into how off the pace Alonso is today. Just awful defending.
Chelsea 0-1 Leeds
Leeds fans are having a Christmas party at Stamford Bridge.
'Marching On Together' they roar.
Their side is good value for this lead. Chelsea have serious work to do.
Liverpool 0-0 Aston Villa
The corners are starting to rack up for Liverpool now. Their third in a row comes to nothing as it's played short to Thiago and he gives it away.

Matty: Three goals in three games for Odegaard. Very satisfying after seeing so much of our own fanbase turn on him at the start of the season.
