    Arsenal 0-0 West Ham

Bukayo Saka is starting to get a bit of joy down the right side. He is available to dart on to Takehiro Tomiyasu's pass but the defender overhits the ball out of play. Sums it up so far really.

Abu: David Luiz got a straight red and penalty for far less than that last season.....

Arsenal will be looking to bring in at least one new striker in January. Auba has been scoring less frequently for the last two seasons and with Laca off in the summer they need to invest in some quality. Maybe Auba plus cash for Memphis Depay?! They need to seriously invest.

    Arsenal 0-0 West Ham

Arsenal fans scream for a penalty as Alexandre Lacazette dives in to try and follow up and get a shot away in the box. Craig Dawson is the man sliding in to try and stop him. The striker gets a toe on the ball and there is contact between the two players afterwards. Anthony Taylor doesn't see anything wrong. VAR doesn't disagree with him.

    Arsenal 0-0 West Ham

Neither side is being allowed much time on the ball. It's going to need calmness of mind and plenty of quality.

Armando Broja probably dived for the free-kick which led to James Ward-Prowse's goal. Will Hughes was furious.

    This is tetchy.

Ever since Kieran Tierney went down (and I think we're all agreed now) rather easily, having been caught in the face by Vladimir Coufal's arm as he tried to run past him, we have seen two more instances of that in the last few minutes.

It's proving rather tricky for referee Anthony Taylor, who also had to come over and have a word with the Arsenal bench and tell them to settle down after a West Ham corner.

    Arsenal 0-0 West Ham

Bukayo Saka has hurt himself. He cuts in from the right and slips as he is about to shoot. He kicks Arthur Masuaku in the process.

Thankfully for the young England winger he's not done too much damage, either to himself or Masuaku.

    Arsenal 0-0 West Ham

Thomas Partey edges to the West Ham box and is just about to shoot, but has his pocket picked by a West Ham man. He wanted too much time.

It's Saints "fans" who need to leave rather than Ralph Hasenhuttl.

    Alan

So impressed with Broja. He's got everything. Only 20 years of age. I'd be shipping out Lukaku in the summer!

Tight contest, this. Lots of tackles flying in, lots of tussles, the latest of which sees Michail Antonio go down after grappling with Thomas Partey. Neither giving an inch.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2021

    Brighton 0-1 Wolves

All the big action happened in the last few minutes of the half. Wolves scored and Brighton missed their best chance by a mile.

Oh my word. How are Brighton not level?

The ball is launched into the Wolves box, drops for Leandro Trossard, who fires a low shot that Jose Sa saves. The ball deflects to Enock Mwepu, who is about two yards out, with the goal at his mercy, but pokes his effort over the bar.

    Crystal Palace 1-2 Southampton

Southampton's Chelsea loanee Armando Broja has scored more goals in the Premier League than Romelu Lukaku (3), Kai Havertz (2) and Timo Werner (1) this season.

Lewis Chapman: Surely VAR needs to start looking at situations like that Tierney one? Embarrassing dive and unnecessary surrounding of the referee by Arsenal players. I seem to recall Arteta saying they were the most fair play in the league, obviously doesn't watch the matches.

The Retrospective: Tierney gone down like a sack of bricks that was a lot of fuss made over nothing. Foul, maybe maybe a yellow - did not warrant crowding the referee. Lacazette is on a whinging mission tonight

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2021

    Crystal Palace 1-2 Southampton

The half-time whistle goes. Palace took an early lead and had the Saints on the ropes but Southampton have come back to lead at the break.

    Romain Saiss

Wolves make the breakthrough right on the verge of half-time.

A corner is hacked away by Yves Bissouma but only as far as Ruben Neves near the edge of the box. The midfielder chips over a lovely little ball for Romain Saiss, who times his run perfectly and finishes brilliantly on the volley.

    Lovely goal.

Simon Atkins: I don't get fans who start saying their manager is out of ideas when the game is only 15 mins in. That "idealess" manager just saw his team turn it around.

Ralph isn't the problem, the owner is. You can't lose players like Ings & replace them with Championship standard and hope to thrive.

In response to Laurie at 19.53: I reckon Ralph Hasenhüttl will be in the frame when Rangnick’s interim tenure finishes at Man Utd.

    Crystal Palace 1-2 Southampton

Palace's first attack in a while as they win a free-kick on the right wing.

Conor Gallagher curls it in but it flies straight out for a goal-kick.

    Arsenal 0-0 West Ham

This is spicy. Pablo Fornals goes down after a clash with Gabriel. No free-kick. Arsenal charge forward and win a corner that Declan Rice does well to rise and head away.
