    Tottenham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have the first chance of the match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Will Hughes plays the ball into the box, Odsonne Edouard holds it up and lays it off to Jordan Ayew, who can only send it well over the top from the edge of the penalty area.

Raheem Sterling runs in behind after about 30 seconds but Jannik Vestergaard hacks his cross over the bar.

  4. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

You never really know a game is going ahead until it kicks off these days.

But these are definitely all happening.

We are under way at Manchester City, Norwich, Tottenham and West Ham.

Arsenal's players emerge from the tunnel at Carrow Road to a chorus of boos. It's been tipping it down in Norfolk. A big game for keeper Angus Gunn, who is making a rare Premier League appearance for the Canaries.

  6. Saints to win at West Ham?published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

West Ham v Southampton (15:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

West Ham have hit a bit of a sticky patch and it's no surprise it has coincided with them suffering a few injuries to key players at a time they have had a lot of games.

It will help the Hammers if Michail Antonio is back to lead the line after a period isolating with Covid, but I can see their bad run continuing.

Southampton are a difficult team to predict and they haven't won for a while either - six games to be exact - but if West Ham don't play well again and this gets scrappy, then I can see Saints nicking it.

    Lawro's prediction: 1-2

  7. When Morrison went AWOLpublished at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

West Ham v Southampton (15:00 GMT)

    West Ham United

Sam Allardyce has recalled the time Ravel Morrison failed to turn up for a Boxing Day match for West Ham.

Allardyce was this week's guest on the Sacked in the Morning podcast and was asked if he ever had a player who didn't turn up for a big match over the festive period.

He said: "Probably the strangest story was when I was West Ham manager and we had a very talented man called Ravel Morrison, who we got from Manchester United and who had made his way and was looking pretty astounding with his ability in the first team.

"We were meeting up at Christmas around six o'clock to go to a game for Boxing Day on the coach.

"He was never really early and Mark Noble came with a picture on his phone and said: 'Gaffer I think we might as well set off.'

"And he showed us a picture of Ravel back in Manchester with his family having Christmas dinner."

  10. 'At least seven out for Palace'published at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

Tottenham v Crystal Palace (15:00 GMT)

    Chris Wise
BBC Radio 5 Live at Tottenham Stadium

It looks like there’s at least seven out for Palace, either through Covid or injury. Guaita, Clyne, McArthur, Milivojevic, Eze, Olise, Benteke.

And obviously the manager Patrick Vieira isn’t back in north London either, which I think will be disappointing for all parties!

Crystal Palace have won just one of their eight Premier League away games this season and have not won on Tottenham soil since a 1-0 victory in the FA Cup in February 2016.

Palace boss Patrick Vieira, who is not at the game as he is self-isolating after a positive test for Covid-19, says: "It’s a difficult place to go. The atmosphere, the players energy, it's really good. We know what to expect. What is important for us is to play with courage, confidence and belief."

  12. No brollies required at Etihad Stadiumpublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

It's a dank December day at Etihad Stadium, but it is dry here so no brollies required for the 'Tunnel Club' members who pay extra for the privilege of watching the Manchester City players warm up from the touchline.

This is the final home game of 2021 for Pep Guardiola's side, who have already become the first top-flight team to win 34 league games in a calendar year, beating Liverpool's record of 33 from 1982.

So, can Leicester stop them making it win number 35 and extending their lead at the top of the table to six points?

Way back in August the Foxes came out on top when the two teams met at Wembley in the Community Shield, but they have struggled to find any consistency since - if they do win today, it will be only the second time this season they have managed back-to-back league wins.

John Nixon: Palace trying to get the game called off but still field their strongest possible line-up? That makes no sense.

Adam Bateman: Only a matter of time until the stats people are recording successful Covid passes on the match stats.

  14. 'Saints in relegation scrap'published at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

West Ham v Southampton (15:00 GMT)

    Jonathan Woodgate
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think West Ham will turn the screw today but what I like about Southampton is they are a high pressing team. They are a good team, but I think they are in for a real relegation scrap. The main reason they are in for a relegation scrap is because they can't score goals.

  15. 8 goals in 17 gamespublished at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Norwich v Arsenal (15:00 GMT)

    Norwich City

Norwich have failed to score in a league-high 11 different Premier League games this season. Meanwhile, in top-flight history, no side has ever scored fewer goals before Christmas than the eight the Canaries have netted this term.

I thought they were more ‘Spursy’ against West Ham. They are starting to gel again. Conte has made them harder to beat, and Eric Dier is a real leader. Early signs, but they are moving in the right direction.

Brazilian teenager Kayky makes the senior Manchester City bench today, for the first time since his summer move from Fluminense.

The 18-year-old, who is known in his homeland as 'the next Neymar', signed in the summer for an initial £9m when he was still 17, and has made several appearances in the Premier League 2, EFL Trophy and Uefa Youth League.

Is he any good then? Well, I've not seen him for myself but I've heard a lot about his fast feet and silky skills and he's versatile too - he can play on either wing or in midfield. All things considered, he sounds like a Pep Guardiola player, doesn't he? Let's hope he gets a run-out today...

Man City v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Leicester are missing so many players, especially leaders like Jamie Vardy, but they do score away from home. They are unpredictable and have been inconsistent.

Man City are flying at the moment, free flowing and it will be tough. Sometimes you feel like you are beaten when you pull your boots on, and I feel like this will be one of those occasions.
