No goals at the Vitality yet as second plays fourth, but a promising start in a game which should provide plenty of entertainment.

    Luton 0-0 Fulham

Joe Bryan has gone close early on for Championship leaders Fulham away at mid-table Luton.

Marco Silva's side are looking to end a run of three consecutive draws - but they are still unbeaten in ten - most teams would take that run of form let's be honest.

Steve Cooper did all he could to play down his first return to Swansea City ahead of this game, insisting it would be like any other game.

There had been much talk about what sort of welcome he would receive from Swansea's fans.

So far, at least, it has been like any other fixture for them too.

The atmosphere is bubbling nicely - but Cooper has been neither welcomed nor jeered.

This could be a bloodbath. Oldham have the worst home form in the division and the visitors are the best travelling side in League Two.

Defensively, Oldham's frailty has been repeatedly exposed this season and it’s no surprise to see Latics second bottom in League Two.

Off the field, the stands may be looking sparse as fans hold an ‘empty the park’ protest, to show the club’s owners their dissatisfaction with how the club is running.

It may not be all doom and gloom, though. Interim head coach, Selim Benachour, has had his side playing well and in Davis Keillor-Dunn and youngster, Harry Vaughan, they have two players who could help unlock any defence.

As for FGR, the ‘Matt Attack’ of Jamille Matt and Matty Stevens have 22 goals between them - six more than Oldham have managed in total. Rob Edwards’ side haven't lost in the league since October.

If it goes to form, expect Rovers’ rapid counterattacks to tear apart this struggling side.

  15. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2021

Let's all enjoy some football, shall we.

Accrington Stanley v Bolton Wanderers (15:00 GMT)

It’s a real Lancashire Derby at Wham Stadium today.

John Coleman welcomes Ian Evatt to Accrington with both managers looking for a response after mid-week defeats.

Accrington’s 2-0 loss to AFC Wimbledon came off the back of two creditable league wins and Coleman has backed his six-goal midfielder, Colby Bishop, to keep improving. He could be the match-winner for Stanley.

Ian Evatt has said there’s pressure for his 16th-placed Bolton to improve, but this time last year they were in a worse position and ended up getting automatic promotion out of League Two.

A win for either side could lift them back into the top half of League One, so I think we're in for an early Christmas cracker for sure.

Bournemouth vs Blackburn Rovers (15:00 GMT)

If the form book is anything to go by, you'd expect Blackburn to get the win. Tony Mowbray's Rovers are in a rich vein of form with six wins in the last eight league games.

They still sit behind Scott Parker’s promotion-chasing Bournemouth though, but this is a great test for Blackburn’s credentials as a team worthy of reaching the top flight.

Second-placed Bournemouth, on the other hand, are coming off the back of three draws. Their last win was back on the 6 November. They could have really been in the driving seat for the title race with a couple of better results.

Both teams boast two of the division’s top scorers too. 17-goal Rovers forward Ben Brereton-Diaz faces off against Dominic Solanke. Both are enjoying great seasons and Solanke’s 16th - a cool finish against Fulham last week - underlined his confidence in front of goal.

We should get some goals on the south coast!

Also plenty of intriguing meetings in League Two today.

Leaders Forest Green head to troubled Oldham as they look to extend their six-point lead but the hosts are desperate to halt a run of three successive defeats.

Northampton Town in second meanwhile head to Harrogate Town in ninth.

Third-placed Port Vale travel to south Wales to take on a Newport County side just outside the play-off places.

Three teams currently in the play-offs who will be looking to bounce back from midweek defeats are Exeter City, Swindon Town and Sutton United.

Just a point separates those three.

Plenty to look out for in League One this afternoon.

Just a place and two points separate Sunderland and Plymouth but many more miles than that lie between the two clubs.

The Pilgrims make their longest trip of the season to the Stadium of Light looking for their first win under boss Steven Schumacher and a chance to move above their opponents.

Leaders Rotherham meanwhile will be hoping to make it 20 matches unbeaten when they host Burton while second-placed Wigan host still managerless Ipswich.

Wycombe, who are also level on points with the Millers and Latics in third, host AFC Wimbledon.

Karl Robinson comes face-to-face with one of his former clubs MK Dons when Oxford United make the short trip across the Thames Valley.

Finally, Danny Cowley will be hoping to avoid the manager of the month curse as his Portsmouth side host Morecambe.
