Sudbury have clearly come out with some intent in this second half, trying not to give Colchester as much time on the ball.

But Shane Temple is a bit too over-eager on Tom Eastman in his follow through and leaves an outstretched boot on the centre-back as he clears left-footed.

    Second booking of the night.

Shane Temple's been isolated for the majority of the game so far for AFC Sudbury and they've struggled to get out from time to time as their midfield and back four has dropped deeper and deeper.

They're going to try and be braver in the second half when they get on the ball and go for it to support him up top.

HT: AFC Sudbury 0-2 Colchester United

    Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on BBC Two

Sylvester Jasper and Armando Dobra have been two stand-outs for Colchester and at times, have really dominated the game.

But that second goal from Freddie Sears for Colchester is a really good finish.

We thought Colchester might be under pressure coming here and we thought Sudbury might bombard them with high balls.

But Colchester have been really clinical with the two chances they've taken.

AFC Sudbury joint-manager Rick Andrews on BBC Two:

"We're not quite pushing them high enough up the pitch, we're showing them a bit too much respect.

"The next goal is a big one, so we'll be telling the boys that in the changing room now. There's still a chance."

Colchester United of League Two lead their non-league opponents from the eighth tier 2-0.

Two quick goals from Brendan Wiredu and Freddie Sears have the U's infront as they bid to avoid being at the hands of another upset.

But the Yellows are far from done in this tie.

All very muted now among the home contingent after those two Colchester goals in quick succession.

    Get one, get two!

Just as Sudbury would've been looking to regroup and settle after that first goal, Colchester come forward again and find another.

Scorer of the first Brendan Wiredu tees-up a ball for Freddie Sears to strike a half-volley on his right and with some favourable bounce off the 4G surface, it gets in over the outstretched right hand of Josh Blunkell in Sudbury's goal.

    Colchester in the ascendancy.
