    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

Josh Blunkell in Sudbury's goal may look baby-faced, well that's because he's just 18-years-old.

But he has looked far more mature than those years so far with this display, passing every test that's been presented to him.

    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

    More brave defending from Sudbury.

Armando Dobra and Freddie Sears combine but can't get shots away and then Sylvester Jasper gets forced wide once more.

    Colchester corner is also cleared.

    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

Another good claim by Sudbury keeper Joshua Blunkell.

Noah Chilvers strikes one right-footed from outside the box, but that's well-claimed two handed.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 25 mins

    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

Marley Andrews picks up a yellow card for Sudbury.

A bit too eager in the tackle on Sylvester Jasper.

James Stringer: This 4G pitch looks drier than the Sahara. Running horribly. Get the sprinklers out. All part of Sudbury's game plan maybe.

    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

Sylvester Jasper forces a first corner of the match for the darker-shirted Colchester.

Tom Eastman nods it back and then Jasper again fires a low ball in that is kept out at the near post and then Freddie Sears can't quite get a shot away inside the box.

Andrew S Hatton: For those watching in black and white Colchester are playing in the darker yellow shirts and Sudbury's shirts have the brighter blue sleeves

Yeah, have to agree these are not the two most contrasting kits you will ever see together on the same pitch!

  8. Postpublished at 18 mins

    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

This tie has just settled down a bit after a frantic opening few minutes.

Colchester noticeably having to settle into a rhythym on the 4G surface with its different bounce and pace compared with grass pitches.

  9. Postpublished at 15 mins

    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

Another fine save by Sudbury keeper Joshua Blunkell.

Brendan Wiredu denied this time as he was picked out by Sylvester Jasper's mishit ball into the area.

Looked destined to tuck it away Wiredu but Blunkell made the block low down with his legs.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 11 mins

    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

    All happening now.

Freddie Sears has a chance down the other end for Colchester with a shot across the face of goal but Sudbury keeper Joshua Blunkell shows some strong hands to beat it away.

Ryan Clampin meanwhile will not be returning after that knock and so Cameron Coxe is on as an early substitute.

  11. Postpublished at 10 mins

    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

First real chance of the match falls to the hosts.

Shamal George forced into a full stretch save away to his left as Marley Andrews has a right-footed shot deflected almost away from the goalkeeper.

Palms it away from the danger area.

    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

Colchester left-back Ryan Clampin appears to be in a bit of trouble here early on with an injury.

Been down receiving treatment for a while and then rather gingerly makes his way off to the touchline to reduce his side to 10 players temporarily.

We're also not too far away in this part of the world from another football league club in Ipswich Town.

A fair few of Colchester's line-up tonight have played in the blue and white of Town in recent history.

One of them Armando Dobra, on loan in fact, is getting involved early on for the visitors but can't quite keep the ball in as again they look to pressure their non-league opponents.

  14. Postpublished at 4 mins

    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

At the other end, almost a goalmouth melee as Shamal George spills his first attempted catch in the Colchester goal.

It won't sit down though for anyone in the yellow and blue of Sudbury to hook towards the empty net and Colchester survive this time.

  15. Postpublished at 2 mins

    AFC Sudbury 0-0 Colchester United

    Colchester make the early running.

Sylvester Jasper's free-kick swings in from the right and the visitors look set to nod in at the back post.

But somehow, Sudbury centre-back Joe Grimwood hooks it clear of danger.

AFC Sudbury v Colchester United (19:55 GMT)

Time for a moment to pause before kick-off in remembrance of those who have served and lost their lives in World Wars and conflicts around the globe.

Immaculately observed by the capacity crowd and both sets of players and officials.

Right then - almost time to get going on the 4G surface at the MEL Group Stadium.

The two sides emerge from that very cramped tunnel.

Atmosphere is fizzing more than a Catherine Wheel.

Colchester United don't have a great FA Cup record in recent history.
