You have to go back 25 years for the last meeting between these two teams in the FA Cup, with Notts County beating Rochdale in only the second cup pairing of the two teams.

The Magpies are a National League side these days with promotion their main aim, while Dale are midtable in League Two, thanks to back-to-back wins propelling them up the table.

Notts have struggled against sides from the top four leagues since going down, conceding 15 goals in their last three games - although eight of those goals came against a then-Premier League Swansea.

    Oxford United 2-1 Bristol Rovers

They have gone very close on a number of occasions in the second half but for all their pressure, Oxford still only lead by a one-goal margin.

Rovers are still in this and if they can summon up a goal in the closing stages they can take this game back to Bristol for a replay.

  3. Challinor's derby debutpublished at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Bolton v Stockport (15:00 GMT)

    Dave ChallinorImage source, Stockport County

Dave Challinor's first game in charge of former club Stockport will be a potentially-fiery FA Cup derby, after he swapped Hartlepool for Edgeley Park in midweek.

His side make the short trip around the M60 to Bolton Wanderers, hoping to add more misery to Ian Evatt's Trotters side.

The hosts are without a win in the last five League One games after a decent start, and have been beaten at this stage in the past two seasons.

National League side County won 5-2 in their last outing, as Dover were beaten to end a two-game losing streak.

Stockport's last game against Bolton by the way was 19 years ago, when the then Premier League side thrashed them 4-1.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Oxford United 2-1 Bristol Rovers

Oxford have hit the woodwork twice in as many minutes!

It's that man Matty Taylor again who hits a volley against the post and then sees a shot on the turn also hit the frame of the goal!

So, so close to the third goal and they are really banging on the door now.

  5. Postpublished at 14:27 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Oxford United 2-1 Bristol Rovers

Sykes v Belshaw part two results in a very similar outcome as the Rovers goalkeeper tips a goalbound effort onto the crossbar.

Oxford are pressing and the visitors are having to weather the storm to stay in the contest.

    Oxford United 2-1 Bristol Rovers

If you missed the first-half action, give the goals a watch below so you're nicely up to speed as we head into the final 30 minutes here.

Mark Sykes has just tried to catch out Rovers keeper James Belshaw from halfway but the Gas stopper just about gets back to tip the ball over the bar.

    That would have been special!

GOAL: Oxford United 2-1 Bristol Roverspublished at 14:15 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Marcus McGuane (51 mins)

It hasn't taken long for the Yellows to get back in front at the start of the second half.

It's good work again from Matty Taylor who plays in Marcus McGuane who finishes well into the far corner.

Gavin Whyte heads wide shortly afterwards as Oxford look to put this game to bed early.

    It's all over.

It was largely even but the Owls probably deserved to win it as they did most of the pushing in the second half.

Lewis Wing has the faraway look of a man who knows he has missed a golden opportunity to win this game at the death.

Alas, a replay awaits before we find out which of these sides will be in round two.

  9. CLOSE!published at 14:08 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Plymouth Argyle

    Ohhhhh Lewis Wing!

That was it, that was the chance to win it, but Wing gets his shot all wrong and it balloons over the bar.

He was in loads of space and that's probably the last chance gone.

  10. Postpublished at 14:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Plymouth Argyle

Big, big penalty shout for the Owls!

The hosts say Michael Cooper in the Argyle net has taken down Olamide Shodipo in the box but the referee remains unmoved!

It was one that would have been looked at by VAR - if we had it - but we don't so we move on.

We're now playing out three minutes of injury time.

  11. Postpublished at 14:02 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Plymouth Argyle

Lee Gregory misses with a shot on the angle from the right.

We are really into the last knockings in this one now, with a goal seemingly beyond these two sides who are both looking for promotion from League One this season.

    Anyone fancy being a hero?

  12. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 14:01 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

That's the last of Saido Berahino's contribution this afternoon as he is replaced by Sylla Sow.

Plymouth's Joe Edwards has also made way, with Kieran Agard sent on to find a late goal by Ryan Lowe.

  13. CLOSE!published at 13:55 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Plymouth Argyle

    Save!

It's a great reaction stop from Owls custodian Bailey Peacock-Farrell to deny Argyle sub Jordan Garrick.

He thrusts a large paw out in the nick of time to deny Garrick and keep it level.

It had been all Wednesday but that was a reminder to the Owls that they need to keep the door shut at the other end too.

Nothing to separate the two sides at half-time in Oxfordshire.

Matty Taylor opened the scoring early in the half but Sam Finley hit back just before the break to make it all-square.

Well-poised for an exciting second half at the Kassam!

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

Olamide Shodipo is thrown on by Darren Moore with Theo Corbeanu withdrawn.

    Sam Finley (45 mins)

The Gas are back on level terms just before half-time!

Sam Finley gets on the scoresheet just seconds after six minutes of added time had been announced - he didn't need six, it only took one!

He met a cross at the far post to beat Simon Eastwood.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

The second yellow card of the game goes to Middlesbrough loanee Lewis Wing who has an arm raised in an aerial challenge with Jordan Houghton.

The first bits of quality play we've seen for a while here as a fine backheel sends Liam Palmer through on goal but his effort is saved.

Then Saido Berahino, who has looked an isolated figure, bursts into action to force Michael Cooper into a fine save to keep it at 0-0.

The Owls definitely have the momentum now but can they find a goal and avoid this going to a replay?

  19. Postpublished at 13:39 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Oxford United 1-0 Bristol Rovers

Matty Taylor is involved in everything so far at the Kassam - both good and bad.

His goal remains the difference but he's just been booked for a foul on Alfie Kilgour which prompts a bit of a melee which sees Rovers' Sam Finley booked too.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 13:36 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Plymouth Argyle

Darren Moore makes a triple change on the hour-mark, introducing Jack Hunt, Fisayo Dele Bashiru and top-scorer Lee Gregory.

Callum Paterson, Dennis Adeniran and Florian Kamberi make way.
