    John Southall
BBC Radio 5 Live at Carrow Road

They wait for months for a goal and Norwich now have two! It was just a poked finished by Adam Idah, his first ever goal at Carrow Road.

    Newcastle 0-0 Watford

    This got the crowd going!

Watford run themselves into all kinds of trouble at the back. Chris Wood reacts to a loose pass and he's away. Craig Cathcart sprints back to do just enough to put him off and the shot is deflected wide for a corner.

  3. CLOSE!published at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Wolves 0-0 Southampton

Oooh, Lyanco is a very relieved man as he slides in to clear a low cross and deflects the ball over his own bar.

    Adam Idah

    What is going on?!

City are alive and kicking. They win the ball on halfway and counter at pace, with Brandon Williams slotting in Adam Idah to poke a finish past Jordan Pickford.

The Canaries are not bottom as it stands.

As for Everton? Well, they've just fallen apart in 90 seconds and that trap door is opening a bit.

Not sure I understand why the Spurs v Arsenal game is off. Surely injuries, players at AFCON and Xhaka being suspended are entirely normal and foreseeable issues at this time of the season?

    Newcastle 0-0 Watford

Watford have woken up a bit. Joshua King slips in Moussa Sissoko, who wins a corner.

Newcastle are resolute on the set-piece though.

    Newcastle 0-0 Watford

    Alistair Magowan
BBC Sport at St James' Park

"No noise from the Saudi boys" from the Watford fans but contrary to that assessment, and they are up in the Gods, it has been quite noisy so far after that Joelinton chance.

Chris Wood is certainly giving the Watford defence something to think about. The question is whether the likes of Allan Saint-Maximin can find the gaps in between.

Just as I type that ASM is lambasted by the home fans for giving the ball away.

  8. CLOSE!published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Watford

It's given away by Newcastle and Watford break. Two swift passes and it's with Joshua King on the left.

He gets into the box but slices the effort wide of the post. That was a decent chance!

  9. goal

GOAL - Norwich 1-0 Evertonpublished at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Michael Keane own goal

    Shocker!

Could be a big goal at the bottom. It is certainly a calamitous one for Everton defender Michael Keane, who sticks out a boot to meet Josh Sargent's low cross to the near post from the right and watches in horror as the ball goes into the bottom corner.

  10. Postpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Norwich 0-0 Everton

Demarai Gray is in the thick of this. He shimmies past a man out wide to allow a cut inside and a shot that Tim Krul is well-placed to save.

  11. Postpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Wolves 0-0 Southampton

Leander Dendoncker is encouraged to shoot from 30 yards and decides to go for it... over the bar and maybe even over the top of the stadium roof.

Doubt he's going to be encouraged to shoot again after that.

  12. Postpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Norwich 0-0 Everton

Demarai Gray goes down in the box under a challenge from Pierre Lees-Melou. It was a challenge full of risk but a well executed one. The ball comes off the heel of Gray ultimately, allowing City to clear.

  13. 'All out from Newcastle'published at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Watford

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on Football Focus

That’s going to be the order of the day – get that ball in the box if you are a Newcastle player.

  14. 'What a moment'published at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Watford

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

What a moment that was. Chris Wood made something out of nothing, the ball fell to Ryan Fraser who puts the ball into the area, Joelinton reacts the quickest.

That now may spark the crowd into life and give Newcastle a lift. The first real interchange of passes and it nearly results in a goal.

  15. Postpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Norwich 0-0 Everton

A decent daisy-cutter from Pierre Lees-Melou fires through towards goal but Jordan Pickford saw it coming from point of boot hitting ball. He is bang behind it.

  16. Postpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Wolves 0-0 Southampton

This is impressive stuff from Southampton. They've had more of the ball and on the few occasions Wolves do manage to get possession they are very quick to close them down. No chances for either side yet, however.

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Newcastle 0-0 Watford

Newcastle are on the front foot at the moment. Ryan Fraser whips it in from the right, it deflects off Juraj Kucka and Joelinton gets a touch on it, poking it against the crossbar!

  18. Postpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Norwich 0-0 Everton

Demarai Gray hits the free-kick but he can't clear the wall. He went for placement and found a Norwich head.

  19. Postpublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Norwich 0-0 Everton

Adam Idah fancies one from range but he doesn't catch it all. That prompts an Everton counter which leads to Dominic Calvert-Lewin being fouled on the edge of the box. This is a shooting opportunity.

  20. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Norwich 0-0 Everton

Norwich have another free-kick in an area from which they can pose a threat. Michael Keane the man giving it away.

Milot Rashica clips it in but Dominic Calvert-Lewin heads away. The Everton strikers doing a decent job in defence so far.
