    Man Utd 0-0 West Ham

Manchester United take over possession straight away. Rafael Varane sweeps it over to Mason Greenwood. It comes to Anthony Elanga, who feeds in Alex Telles, but he's offside as he cuts it back for Cristiano Ronaldo. Kurt Zouma had got a foot in anyway.

Allan Fiddes: Newcastle need a manager with the strength and bravery to drop captain Jamaal Lascelles. He is getting worse by the week. He isn't dominating in the air, which is supposed to be his strength. He is unsure positionally and his passing is woeful.

It's pretty much all been Wolves since the restart. Brentford are organised, Wolves are patient and Nelson Semedo is making several intelligent runs.

Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We had to find two different performances today.

"First half we were strong and played since nice football, scored a good goal from a set piece and gone into half-time in a comfortable place.

"Second half the game changed, they went direct and they were trying to get it wide and bombard us with crosses. But credit to the players we really stood up to that, we were strong and deserved our win.

"We had to quieten this crowd, we knew they would be behind Duncan and to be fair to Duncan he has got everything out of his players .

"I think we got the short straw today because we are the first team to come on the back of a manager getting sacked.

"We knew what Duncan was going to do by throwing a load of petrol on the fire. We had to defend a lot of tough challenges but to a man they put their bodies on the line.

"This is a tough place to win, no matter what the circumstances, so we are proud of that."

"On match winner Buendia: "He's a little warrior. He's going up for headers with players that are a foot taller than him. But that's what I love about him, as he's all in.

"He will get the headlines but I think that was our strongest performance when you think about what you have to do to get a win here."

On Coutinho: "He's going to get better and stronger. It will still take him 2-3 games to get up to speed in the Premier League. It's a process and he worked ever so hard for the team today."

On the 18-day break before their next game: "We need to use this time as a mini pre-season. We need to reset our identity and our style of play in and out of possession.

"This is gold dust as we can unlimited time on the training pitch."

Michael Tennekoon: Not sure why all the negativity. That must have been the first time this season DDG has not had a save to make. Watford wasn't too long ago..

Reddevil Jay: Excellent first half. Brilliant coordination from the whole team. Maguire has been a colossal presence at the back. Only improvements come from De Gea and the CBs being able to complete a pass that is over 5 yards. Lots to be positive about though.

Steven Hunter: What a dreadful game of football. The passing by both teams has been woeful. Has there been a shot on goal yet?

Paul: Absolute nonsense to stop a football match because of a drone. But then I guess that’s just another symbol of how soft and pathetic our country and the world in general has become. Just get on with it for God sake.

Zane: Well the battery on the DJI drone at Brentford only last 20mins. Enough time to make a brew and they should be back under way.

No goals, but a very decent game.

Leeds very much on top early on but Newcastle came back into it as the half finished. Both goalkeepers have kept it goalless with fine saves.

As one Leeds fan shouted shortly before the break, "C'mon, give it to Rapha."

If Newcastle can stop that supply line, they might have a chance.

    Mark Lawrenson
Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's competitive. Both teams are very respectful of each other but there are so many passes going backwards, it just allows people time to file in and it is very hard to play passes in between the lines.

It's quite an interesting game when you see the two teams going at it, but a shot would be a result.
