It was supposed to be the old Liverpool manager versus his former captain - Rafael Benitez versus Steven Gerrard - but the Spaniard's departure last weekend instead means it is the start of a new era for Everton.

Will the Toffees, uncomfortably looking over their shoulder, get a morale-boosting win? Or will Gerrard, who had plenty of joy against Everton as a player, get one over his former city rivals?
