    Rotherham 1-0 Stockport

Stockport are piling on pressure, again forcing a string of set-pieces.

Paddy Madden has just been sent on to bolster the attack, midfielder Will Collar making way.

Antoni Sarcevic then touches a corner towards goal but it's an easy claim for Stephen Henderson.

    Charlton double their lead.

It's a ball in from the right which is glanced across goal and Ben Purrington meets it on the volley.

It soars in, having nicked off Jayden Stockley and leaves Jacob Chapman sprawling.

I'm giving it to Purrington, although as a striker no doubt Stockley will claim it.

    Rotherham 1-0 Stockport

    More threat from Rotherham.

Ollie Rathbone gets in on the right of the box after a nice round-the-corner pass but Stockport get in to block from an acute angle.

The corner is straight into the palms of Ben Hinchliffe.

Stockport get the ball forward quickly, and there's good pressure on Josh Vickers by Ryan Rydel who blocks his clearance but it's at the expense of a goal kick.

    Rotherham 1-0 Stockport

Rotherham are back out and trying to take the game to Stockport in the early stages of the second-half.

One slick break down the right opened up the space but the Hatters got back to see out the danger.

  5. Postpublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2021

    Gateshead 0-1 Charlton

Not Gateshead's night, nor Macaulay Langstaff's at the moment.

Great build-up as Gateshead worked the ball to Alex Nicholson on the edge of the box, and his low shot forced a save from Stephen Henderson.

But the ball fell straight to Langstaff... who blazed wide.

    Lacked composure.

It's tough enough recovering physically and mentally from a serious illness like cancer, but then picking yourself up and returning to professional football is something else.

Stockport's Conor Jennings, a sub in tonight's game, knows all about that having come through chondroid sarcoma to return to the sport he loves.

    Check out his story here.

Former Mansfield player Lindon Meikle is hoping to inspire Buxton to FA Cup glory this weekend when they play Morecambe.

Inspiring him is the memory of two teenage pals back in his home city of Nottingham.

HT: Gateshead 0-1 Charlton; Rotherham 1-0 Stockport

    Half-time in tonight's ties.

Let's have a look at some of the unique stories the FA Cup will throw up this weekend while we take a little breather.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2021

    Rotherham 1-0 Stockport

Stockport have impressed so much in this cup tie but it is Rotherham who have the all-important lead at the break.

Michael Smith struck right before the break, tapping in after good work from Ollie Rathbone.

However, they found themselves on the backfoot during that first 45, and Dave Challinor will have plenty to be pleased about in his half-time teamtalk.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2021

    Gateshead 0-1 Charlton

    Adam CampbellImage source, Rex Features

Jayden Stockley's goal is enough to give Charlton a first-half advantage against their non-league opponents Gateshead.

It hasn't been all plain sailing for the League One side, as the Tynesiders had some good chances to open the Addicks up.

However, Stockley did find the net, and Jacob Chapman has had to be at his best to keep his side in the game as the visitors sought a second.

The breakthrough, and it goes Rotherham's way.

Stockport will rue their inability to clear, but credit to the perseverance of the League One leaders in this one.

Ollie Rathbone got away down the left, cutting inside, but had the ball pinched.

However, he cut out the clearance and darted through, squaring smartly for Michael Smith who coolly and calmly guided his low finish wide of Ben Hinchliffe and into the right corner.

    Gateshead 0-1 Charlton

Adam Campbell GatesheadImage source, Rex Features

Adam Campbell is so close to rattling Gateshead level. Great response.

Gateshead roar forward again through Greg Olley, who rolls a pass to the left of the box for Campbell.

He lets the ball roll across his body before lashing low and Stephen Henderson is forced into a smart save.

The rebound breaks straight to Campbell, but his fizzing effort zips wide again.

  15. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Stockport

Stockport striker Scott Quigley is slipped in behind by a clever low pass from Ryan Rydel, but as he is ruled offside, Mikel Miller carries through with his chopping challenge.

It leaves Quigley writhing and it seems as though things might just boil over but they quickly simmer down again.

  16. Postpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Stockport

Ben Hinchliffe makes a terrific save for Stockport to deny Rotherham after a goalmouth scramble.

After a pinball around the box, it broke to Ben Wiles but his scuffed low shot was first blocked and then gathered by Hinchliffe in the Hatters goal.

  17. Postpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Stockport

Stockport are playing a really expansive game on the back of some midfield superiority, but the final ball is the only thing that is letting them down.

Macauley Southam-Hayes was picked out on the right by a lovely ball in behind, but a swinging delivery just overran the attacking Antoni Sarcevic and out for a goal kick.

  18. goal

GOAL: Gateshead 0-1 Charltonpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2021

    Jayden Stockley (30 mins)

Great goal by Charlton, and it owed so much to Conor Washington's timing of run and the quality of the pass forward by Akin Fawemo.

Fawemo lofted a ball down the left which Washington galloped onto after an angled dart behind the defence.

The Northern Ireland international took the ball to the byline and dinked a perfect ball to take Jacob Chapman out of the equation and Jayden Stockley bravely powered through a duo of Gateshead defenders to put it in to the net with his head.

    Gateshead 0-0 Charlton

Gateshead come so close to an opener.

Great move down the right, plenty of pace and support in tow saw the Tynesiders power downfield.

The ball was whizzed to the left side of the box, where Adam Campbell cut inside but swiped his shot just over the bar.

  20. Postpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2021

    Rotherham 0-0 Stockport

Josh Vickers makes a huge save to deny Scott Quigley and keep Rotherham level.

The Stockport forward brought the ball down and thrashed it at goal but Vickers makes a fine save.

    Warning shot.
