  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 16:01 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Huddersfield 1-2 Blackpool

Half-time comes with Huddersfield trailing Blackpool after a thrilling start, which saw the Seasiders twice take the lead.

Three goals in the opening 18 minutes suggested an ebb and flow encounter which the match has lived up to.

The only downside to this half of football was the injury to Tom Lees as he was forced to come off on a stretcher. We wish him the best.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Huddersfield 1-2 Blackpool

Lee Nicholls keeps the deficit at one heading towards the break, as he stretches to deny Blackpool a third after a curling effort from Sonny Carey.

Carey got his first goal of the season in Tangerine against Peterborough last time out and wasn't far away from his second there.

Tom Lees' injury means we're slightly behind schedule at the JSS. Seven minutes of added time were put up on the board.

Chastening 45 minutes of football for Nottingham Forest, as Middlesbrough have got it tactically right to a tee.

Ryan Yates' farcial own-goal is the difference but Forest have been well and truly schooled in the opening half.

The only thing Chris Wilder will have to complain about, is the fact they've only scored the one, and Forest have a good record of switching things up and fighting back.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Huddersfield 1-2 Blackpool

Tom Lees has had to come off, replaced by Ollie Turton - a former Tangerines man - who is counted as a concussion substitute.

Lees suffered a head injury, was down for a while and received oxygen on the pitch.

We wish him well. Hope all is ok.

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Forest can't get hold of the ball. Boro are relentless.

The fluidity of Onel Hernandez, Isaiah Jones and Marcus Tavernier, plus the free-marauding Neil Taylor down the left, are causing Forest endless issues.

Djed Spence - on loan from Boro - normally patrols the right for Forest but Fin Back is the unfortunate youngster who's being given a tough examination out wide.

  9. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Forest are being unpicked and only the width of a post stops them from going further behind.

Neil Taylor teases his way down the left before striking a cross to the back post where Isaiah Jones comes bowling in but his close-range finish thumped the post and away.

    Huddersfield 1-2 Blackpool

Huddersfield have Tom Lees down injured presently, so a bit of concern for him as the medical staff come on.

Harry Toffolo was cautioned a moment ago, it would appear for complaining about a delay in stopping the game to referee Jeremy Simpson.

Raucous atmosphere at the Riverside, where the Teessiders are flying.

They could well have had a second, as Paddy McNair threads the perfect throughball to Onel Hernandez, but as he draws the keeper, his little square ball to Andraz Sporar is behind him and the chance goes begging.

Forest hit on the break, Lewis Grabban touching the ball in-field to Brennan Johnson, but a heavy touch gives McNair the chance to pinch it and clear.

Better from the visitors, but it should have been two.

  12. League Two updatespublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

Hartlepool have broken the deadlock away to Mansfield through Luke Molyneux.

Elsewhere, Oldham and Tranmere are both still ahead at home to Scunthorpe and Barrow respectively.

    Huddersfield 1-2 Blackpool

Another good chance for Huddersfield, as Duane Holmes gets into a great position, but his effort flies over the top of the Blackpool bar.

Let off. It's swinging nicely this one.

  14. Postpublished at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba is again called upon as Neil Taylor ghosts into the box, clawing the Boro full-back's shot across goal away from the line, and the covering defence got the ball clear.

Onel Hernandez went down in the box after a block tackle by Tobias Figueiredo, but the referee was having none of it. Forest can't afford to concede a second.

  15. League One updatespublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

Accrington have had the ball in the net at the Wham Stadium against leaders Rotherham but it's been disallowed for offside so the score remains goalless.

Lincoln are still two ahead at home to MK Dons, while there is still no score between Cheltenham and Plymouth or Fleetwood and Shrewsbury.

Danny Ward wasn't far away from meeting a Lewis O'Brien cross for Huddersfield to level again.

The Terriers are fighting back again.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Big save by Brice Samba to get down low to a skiddy Andraz Sporar shot as Boro pressed again.

Onel Hernandez kept the ball alive, and Isaiah Jones put in another low ball which Samba had to bravely dive on with the boots flying.

    Forest are under the pump.

It's an unwritten rule not to pass the ball back within the width of the goal. That is a bit of a nightmare for Nottingham Forest.

  19. Postpublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2021

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Nott'm Forest

Middlesbrough are opening Forest up at will and the Reds are on the rack.

Isaiah Jones skipped down the right and swept in a cross which just evaded Onel Hernandez, and shortly after that, another red wave poured forth with a deflection taking the ball over for another corner.

Forest look rattled, and haven't coped with Boro's expansive style yet. Phillip Zinckernagel just swiped a shot wide at the other end by the way, on a raid forward from the visitors.

Blackpool fire back again and it's Gary Madine who buries his header past Lee Nicholls at the near post.

Keshi Anderson stood up a magnificent cross to the back post, and Madine got up highest to meet it powerfully with the forehead.
