The ref has had enough of Egypt's fouls to halt Cameroon. Omar Kamal turns his back to body-check an opponent and sees yellow for it. It means a suspension for the defender in either the final or third/fourth play-off.

It's one of those where the longer it goes with Cameroon dominating and missing chances, the more you start to wonder if Egypt are going to ride their luck and nick it. They do have a forward on the pitch who only needs one sniff.

Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui might be a centre-back but has had two great chances this evening to score and in 2017 he scored two for Cameroon at Afcon.

His second was in the semi-final win over Ghana as Cameroon went on to win the trophy by beating Egypt in the final.

Sulaimon Adelekan: Mo Salah has barely had a touch. Cameroon has bullied Egypt so far but they need to take their chances.

Another big chance for Cameroon. They're getting a lot of joy down the flanks. This time, the ball is cut back for Karl Toko Ekambi, but he also can't connect properly. His effort bounces down and is claimed by the Egypt keeper. In the attackers defence, the ball was slightly behind him. Should have done better, though.

Mohamed Salah gets himself into the game, but only to foul a Cameroon man to stop him breaking. Not ideally where you want the Liverpool forward.

Carlos Quieroz is on his feet, barking orders, pointing, directing. He's got earphones in too. I hope he's listening to relaxation tapes. Might be the only thing that stops him spontaneously combusting.

A nice gesture there from Vincent Aboubakar to signal his apologies to the Egypt keeper Gabaski after he recovered from their clash.

Cameroon are dominating. They've had over 60% of possession and the clearest chances. Not seen much of Mohamed Salah so far.

This stadium holds 60,000 but that has been capped at 80% due to Covid restrictions - we are a lot less than that maximum - the noise that would be generated by a full-house here would be quite remarkable and a shame we won't witness that today.

Soon after, the hosts are able to deliver a cross, but Mohamed Abougabal is there to punch away.
