  1. Thank you and good night

    Sheffield United

That's as far as we go here today.

It's been... some day in the EFL on a weekend when Premier League players have had their feet up/been on international duty/been in Dubai.

Championship leaders Fulham were held to a draw by Blackpool and fifth-placed West Brom fell to a poor 2-0 defeat at Millwall.

In League One there were some WILD results, Bolton beating Sunderland 6-0 and Oxford thumping Gillingham 7-2, with Cameron Brannagan scoring FOUR penalties.

In League Two, table-topping Forest Green won 4-0 at second-placed Tranmere.

We've got more EFL live text action for you tomorrow, starting at 13:15 GMT for Derby County v Birmingham.

Hope you can join us then and enjoy the rest of your Saturday evening.

    Cheers!

  2. Race for the Premier League

    #bbcefl

    Top of the Championship

Here's what this afternoon's earlier results did to the top of the Championship.

Fulham remain five points clear at the top despite being held to a draw by Blackpool after Blackburn drew 0-0 at Luton.

QPR are now only two points behind Rovers in fourth after they thrashed Reading.

  3. Bottom of the table

    #bbcefl

    Bottom of the Championship

This evening's defeat by the Blades has done Peterborough no favours - they remain two points off safety.

Today's results present opportunities for Derby and Cardiff to boost their survival hopes - they play Birmingham and Nottingham Forest respectively tomorrow.

  4. Blades in play-off mix

    FT: Peterborough 0-2 Sheff Utd

    Championship table

It was a slow start to the season for Sheffield United after their lacklustre relegation form the Premier League last season.

However, since Paul Heckingbottom took over from Slavisa Jokanovic in November they've got going in the right direction.

Could they yet nick a play-off spot?

  5. Billy Sharp - Recordbreaker

    FT: Peterborough 0-2 Sheff Utd

    Billy Sharp

If you hadn't seen, Billy Sharp became the second tier's leading scorer since it rebranded as the Championship in 2004 with the opener in this one.

It's 5,072 days since his first second-tier goal - a header in March 2008 in Sheffield United's 2-1 win over Coventry City - the former Southampton and Leeds man netted number 122 to claim the record outright from David Nugent.

  6. FULL-TIME

    Peterborough 0-2 Sheff Utd

    Professional job from the Blades.

A goal from Billy Sharp and an unfortunate own goal from Callum Morton gives Sheffield United all three points.

Lowly Peterborough had a great chance to open the scoring before the break when Wes Foderingham denied Jonson Clarke-Harris but they didn't even muster a shot in the second half.

  7. Post update

    Peterborough 0-2 Sheff Utd

Into three minutes of time added on now.

  8. Post update

    Peterborough 0-2 Sheff Utd

This result will keep Posh in the relegation zone.

They're two points off safety but they'll need to carry more a of a threat than they have today if they're to get out of trouble.

  9. Post update

    Peterborough 0-2 Sheff Utd

If this stays as it is, and I firmly expect it to, then Sheffield United will be going 11th in the Championship.

They've got a couple of games in hand on a lot of the teams above them. Could be a big end to the season.

  10. GOAL: Peterborough 0-2 Sheff Utd

Callum Morton own goal (81 mins)

    Game over.

Callum Morton puts through his own net after an Ollie Norwood corner is headed back across goal.

  11. SUBSTITUTION

    Peterborough 0-1 Sheff Utd

Ooh, and Posh have made their last change too.

Jorge Grant makes way for Joel Randall.

  12. SUBSTITUTION

    Peterborough 0-1 Sheff Utd

    Billy Sharp

    That's Billy Sharp's last involvement.

The goalscorer is off and Oli McBurnie is on.

  13. Post update

    Peterborough 0-1 Sheff Utd

    It should be 2-0!

Billy Sharp races in on goal but he can't beat Steven Benda in the home goal and David McGoldrick can't make a clean connection on the rebound.

  14. Post update

    Peterborough 0-1 Sheff Utd

Not much sign of a Peterborough comeback at present I have to say but while there's only one goal in this then it's still up in the air.

  15. SUBSTITUTION

    Peterborough 0-1 Sheff Utd

Iliman Ndiaye can not carry on and John Fleck is on for the Blades in his stead.

  16. Post update

    Peterborough 0-1 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United forward Iliman Ndiaye is down in the centre circle.

    Looks like another muscle injury.

The Blades already lost Rhian Brewster to a hamstring injury in the first half today.

  17. Billy Sharp scores goals

    Peterborough 0-1 Sheff Utd

    View more on twitter

Since the second tier rebranded as the Championship in 2004 nobody has scored more goals than Billy Sharp.

Today's strike means he now has 122.

  18. SUBSTITUTION

    Peterborough 0-1 Sheff Utd

Double change for the home side as they look for a way back into this.

Callum Morton and Joe Ward are on and Jack Marriott and Joe Tomlinson are off.

  19. YELLOW CARD

    Peterborough United 0-1 Sheff Utd

Conor Hourihane is the first name in the book.

The Irishman scythes down Nathan Thompson as he brings the ball into the Blades half.

  20. Post update

    Peterborough 0-1 Sheff Utd

    My word.

Ollie Norwood unleashes an absolute rocket from 20 yards that looks to be flying in before taking a nick off Peterborough defender Josh Knight.
