Right, what have Peterborough got now then?

They had some moments in the first half but have scarcely been over the halfway line since the break.

    He scores goals doesn't he?

It's not a classic by any stretch but Billy Sharp won't care one jot.

The ball is bouncing around in the area and the veteran reacts to fire a low effort into the bottom corner.

  4. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Ollie Norwood goes through Peterborough counterpart Kwame Poku with a really strong tackle.

The referee gives a free-kick but nothing more.

Been a keenly fought contest so far and I think the ref has got most things right.

The away side pick up where they left off.

    HT: Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Let's have a quick look back at all the headlines from the EFL so far today...

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:18 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2022

    Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Pretty decent stuff but no goals.

Rhian Brewster looked lively for the visitors before being forced off with a muscle injury.

John Egan should have done better with a header for the Blades and away goalkeeper Wes Foderingham made a super stop to deny Jonson Clarke-Harris moments later.

  12. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United midfielder Conor Hourihane has got a really cultured left foot.

    His right foot?

    Maybe not so much.

The Irishman shows neat skill to set up a volley on his less favoured right foot and... it's still 0-0.

  13. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Straight down the other end and Jonson Clarke-Harris is played in on goal but Wes Foderingham is off his line like a flash to smother his effort.

  14. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Another chance comes and goes for the away side.

Ollie Norwood clips a cross to John Egan at the back stick after a short corner routine and the Irishman powers his header over the bar when he was totally unmarked.

  15. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Jayden Bogle is in the mood for it tonight.

The Blades right wing-back shows lovely feet to get away from two would-be tacklers on the edge of the area before lashing a low cross/shot across the face of goal.

  16. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

John Egan flashes a header off target from a Sheffield United corner.

Steven Benda then spills a Jayden Bogle effort but Iliman N'Diaye can't squeeze an effort on goal.

    Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Better from Peterborough in these past few minutes.

They're just starting to get a bit of a foothold in this now.

They've got Johnson Clarke-Harris and Adam Marriott up top and they're starting to have an impact.

  18. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Peterborough debutant Jeando Fuchs takes aim from long range.

It's a nice clean connection but straight at Wes Foderingham in the Blades goal.

That's one shot on target apiece.

  19. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United banging on the door now.

Jayden Bogle bursts in down the Blades right (seems to be a very clear tactic...) and smashes an effort at goal that Posh goalkeeper Steven Benda stands up well to.

Moments later Conor Hourihane's long range shot takes a nick and goes wide.

  20. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 Sheff Utd

What an entrance that would have been!

David McGoldrick, on for Rhian Brewster, gets himself in down the same channel that Brewster was working so well and chops inside before firing miles wide.
