They were always going to score when they got through to that position. It's such a shame as it's a mistake. The very first time they have pushed up the pitch. They've given away two goals, very much self-inflicted.

Pablo Fornals has replaced Manuel Lanzini for West Ham, who are edging closer to a place in the fourth round.

Jarrod Bowen sends a free-kick into the box but it's comfortable for Illan Meslier. 10 minutes to go!

Lucas Moura puts Spurs in the lead

Disaster for Morecambe. They have a free-kick 10 yards into the Tottenham half but make a right mess of it. It is passed to Ryan McLaughlin but he is dispossessed by Lucas Moura on the halfway line.

The Brazilian sprints at the Morecambe goal, takes the ball around goalkeeper Trevor Carson and that is a second for Tottenham.

Norwich break deadlock with Rashica tap-in

The Premier League side are ahead!

Charlton had just gone close at the other end through Elliot Lee but Norwich attack, Teemu Pukki carrying the ball down the right before finding the run of Milot Rashica who taps in from close range.

It's harsh on Charlton, who have 10 minutes to find a leveller.

Giovani Lo Celso strikes at goal and it is an absolutely superb one-handed save from Trevor Carson to keep it out.

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

With Harry Kane on they are creating chances and with Maura. But it is not over yet.

There's a different feeling in this stadium. I wouldn't call it a buzz. It's their team now, they've brought on players who have lit up the team.

  14. Postpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Tottenham 1-1 Morecambe

Harry Winks, on his right foot, 22 yards out. It's a great connection and Trevor Carson is panicking but the ball zips just over the top.

Tottenham piling on the pressure and looking to win this in normal time. They have just over 10 minutes to do so.

  15. CLOSE!published at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    That should be that.

  19. Postpublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Liverpool 2-1 Shrewsbury

More on Liverpool's 17-year-old scorer Kaide Gordon.

He joined the Reds from Derby County in February 2021 and started academy life with the U18s before making his U23s debut.

He's been excellent. A star in the making.

  20. Postpublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Tottenham 1-1 Morecambe

What a chance for Harry Kane. The England captain is standing central on the six-yard line and just has to direct his header on target and Spurs are surely in front.

But he somehow nods it wide and we stay at 1-1.
