    West Ham 1-0 Leeds

Matty: That goal has to be ruled out for me. Bowen doesn't touch the ball but he's massively involved in the play. Shows again how little these VAR officials seem to understand football.

  3. Postpublished at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    West Ham 1-0 Leeds

    Worrying scenes for West Ham.

Michail Antonio races in to meet Ben Johnson's low ball towards the back post and the Hammers' striker is down holding his leg in pain.

  4. 'O'Connor impressive'published at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

He's the skipper O'Connor and he has had two good moments. The goal and he nutmegged Gil.

  5. DISALLOWED GOAL - Sheffield Unitedpublished at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

Sheffield United have the ball in the net through Billy Sharp, but the goal is ruled out for a high foot on a challenge on Leander Dendoncker.

  6. Postpublished at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Liverpool 1-1 Shrewsbury

Daniel Udoh is powering towards the Liverpool goal before lashing it into the side-netting. He looks disappointed with his attempt but it wouldn't have counted. A flag is eventually raised.

  7. CLOSE!published at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Charlton 0-0 Norwich

Charlton should be ahead at The Valley. Elliot Lee drives a low cross in from the left but Jonathan Leko can't steer his effort on target.

Then, Alex Gilbey's strike from distance causes problems for Tim Krul after taking a bounce, and the Norwich keeper does just enough to knock it over the crossbar.

  8. 'Conte getting annoyed'published at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Tottenham 0-1 Morecambe

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I can feel the back of his neck prickling. I wouldn't want to be a Spurs player at half-time if they don't score in the next few minutes.

    Wolves 1-0 Sheffield United

Wolves are pushing for a second and midfielder Ruben Neves has a strike from 25 yards out. It's a great hit but just inches over the crossbar.

  10. Postpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

I had a paper round when I was 17. Kaide Gordon has an FA Cup goal in front of the Kop.

    West Ham 1-0 Leeds

There's a lengthy wait to determine whether Jarrod Bowen is offside as Manuel Lanzini fires in the opener for West Ham, but the VAR review rules in West Ham's favour and the Hammers lead!

  12. Postpublished at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Cardiff 0-0 Preston

    Michael Pearlman
BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

Brad Potts heads wide for Preston.

Cardiff should lead from the one really good chance of this game, but the intensity of the match absolutely merits a 0-0 scoreline.

It is like a training match or a friendly.

  13. 'Dreadful defending from Spurs'published at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Tottenham 0-1 Morecambe

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Out of absolutely nowhere. They got the corner but the marking for Spurs was absolutely dreadful. Dreadful defending. The big man has come and scored. Another possible shock on our hands.

He's just 17 but Kaide Gordon has just scored for Liverpool in front of the Kop. Proper dreamland stuff.

He finishes from inside the box after an assist by Conor Bradley.

A goal made in the academy.

  15. Postpublished at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Manuel Lanzini (34 mins)

    Breakthrough!

Leo Hjelde produces a brilliant block to deny Nikola Vlasic. There's bodies absolutely everywhere but Manuel Lanzini is there to smash home.

It's being checked by VAR for offside though...

  17. goal

GOAL - Tottenham 0-1 Morecambepublished at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Anthony O'Connor (32 mins)

    Media caption,

O'Connor volley puts Morecambe in front at Tottenham

    Incredible scenes.

The League One side take the lead at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It came from Morecambe's first corner of the game after Joe Rodon had been hurried into a panicky clearance behind.

The set-piece comes in from the left from Alfie McCalmont and Anthony O'Connor gets in between Matt Doherty and Japhet Tanganga to superbly side-foot a volley from 10 yards out past Pierluigi Gollini.

  19. Postpublished at 14:32 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    West Ham 0-0 Leeds

Half an hour played and it's all fairly even at London Stadium. West Ham have gone closest to an opening goal, but the hosts aren't being allowed to settle in possession. Plenty for both David Moyes and Marcelo Bielsa to ponder.

  20. Postpublished at 14:31 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2022

    Tottenham 0-0 Morecambe

Dele Alli, Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon link up well down the Tottenham left flank, but it is fine defending from Morecambe captain Anthony O'Connor at the near post to slide in and deal with the low cross.
