    Scottish Premiership

In addition to the race for the title and to avoid relegation, Hearts, Dundee United and Motherwell have the chance to cement their places in the chase for European spots behind the big two at the top with Aberdeen and cup finalists Hibs not on league duty this weekend.

  6. Can Rangers take advantage?published at 13:48 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2021

    Scottish Premiership

Top-flight leaders Rangers have the chance to increase the gap between themselves and Celtic to more than four points as they entertain Dundee United while their city rivals are involved in Sunday's cup final.

It's much tighter at the bottom, with St Johnstone having dropped to the foot of the table last weekend as they visit Motherwell.

Ross County moved above the Perth side and would drag Livingston back into the drop zone should they win in West Lothian, while third-bottom Dundee host Heart of Midlothian and St Mirren, inactive because of tomorrow's final, could find themselves at the bottom should results go against them.

  7. Welcome!published at 13:45 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2021

It's a bit like before the Lord Mayor's Show in the Scottish Premiership, with four games left ahead of Sunday's League Cup final between Celtic and Hibernian.

But there's still plenty to get excited about in all four SPFL divisions - as long as the fog that I can see from here enveloping Ibrox at the very least clears!

Stay with us for the build-up, live commentary and post-match reaction here online and on BBC Radio Scotland.
