The young St Mirren players have put so much into this, as have all Jim Goodwin's players. It's been so impressive.

  7. CLOSE!published at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2021

    St Mirren 0-0 Celtic

Biggest chance of the second half.

Celtic's Callum McGregor is in behind the defence down the left-hand channel and his cross-shot narrowly evades Liel Abada who has the goal gaping.

    Ross Callachan

He's made up for his penalty miss!

Joseph Hungbo skips to the byeline and fires a cross to the front post. It's met by Jordan White initially, whose header cannons off of the post.

But the ball falls kindly for Ross Callachan, who slots home from six yards out.

St Mirren then catch Celtic out on the counter after a stunning solo run from young Jay Henderson.

He finds striker Curtis Main, who has a clear sight of goal, forcing Scott Bain into a low diving save.

    St Johnstone 1-1 Ross County

Forward Viv Solomon-Otabor has entered the match for the hosts, replacing Michael O'Halloran, and has looked lively from his first touch.

Celtic left it late, very late, in their last Premiership game.
