  1. 'Good control and reactions'published at 17:41 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Watford 0-2 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter, speaking to Sky Sports: "We started really well. Showed good personality and good control, reactions when we lost the ball. You know coming here, with the way Roy organises his team it won't be easy to create chances. But we attacked as well as we could first half, didn't let them have much and scored a great goal. The first goal in the Premier League is always important.

"You always expect at 1-0 down a change from them. They have good attacking players. Ismaila Sarr is a dangerous player. They went to 4-3-3 and we tried to fix that.

"It sounds easy now, but that second goal was important for us as we needed to kill it off. In football, you learn that teams sometimes don't need to do too much to get a goal.

"I've not looked at the table and don't intend to look. It is about getting as many points as possible. It is an ambitious and hungry group that want more."

  2. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Man City

Max Aarons has a shot blocked for Norwich and normal service is resumed as Manchester City come forward.

Or it is? Norwich come back again and Brandon Wlliams plays a through ball to Teemu Pukki, whose shot is saved by Ederson at his near post.

  3. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Man City

It's only a matter of time. Ilkay Gundogan is unmarked from Oleksandr Zinchenko's cross but his header is straight at Angus Gunn.

  4. 'You play matches, you don't dream about results you'd like'published at 17:37 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Watford 0-2 Brighton

    Watford

Watford manager Roy Hodgson, speaking to Sky Sports: "I didn't think it was very good. In the first-half in particular I was expecting us to be more confident and have more composure on the ball and make life difficult for Brighton. To the players' credit they worked hard and restricted the goal chances. But we didn't do enough. We started brightly at the start of the second half and showed more intent but we are playing from a goal down and with a backdrop of a lot of defeats. We were always liable, especially when we had a lot of attacking players on the pitch, that we would concede on the counter. In the end we lose 2-0 and there isn't much more to say.

"I haven't had a goal scored against us when I haven't been disappointed. There is nobody with the right to say that if you last out 42 minutes the other team aren't allowed to score after that. We only have ourselves to blame.

"We are going to need to show a lot more resilience and mental strength because after two performances against Burnley and West Ham when we did come close to getting more, today we have not come close. But that is because you play matches, you don't dream about results you would like."

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 6 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Man City

Oh that could not be closer. Riyad Mahrez finds Bernardo Silva in the box and he cuts inside Brandon Williams before curling a shot towards the far post.

It clips the inside of the post and I'm genuinely just about to flash the goal alert before it rolls along the line and doesn't cross it.

  6. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 4 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Man City

The offside flag goes up long before Phil Foden slots this home. Norwich can't clear from a corner and Riyad Mahrez finds Foden in space in the box. His first two shots are saved and he converts the third. But he was offside all along.

  7. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Man City

Teemu Pukki had already scored at this stage of Norwich's last game.

Manchester City win a corner now.

  8. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Man City

The flag is up so it wouldn't have counted but Norwich get in behind CIty's defence after 50 seconds. Milot Rashica latches onto a loose ball but can't find a team-mate in the box.

  9. 'Courage and personality'published at 17:30 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Watford 0-2 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton manager Graham Potter, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "One of our better performances in terms of controlling the game away as much as you can in the Premier League. Apart from a 15-minute spell in the second half, I thought we were in a good place in the game. It is not easy to create chances against Roy's teams. The personality of the players was really good.

"It was a fantastic finish from Neal [Maupay]. I was sat down and it wasn't the easiest of views. It looked a really good finish from a nice period of play. You have to wait for the right time to attack. It was a good ball from Tariq and a nice goal.

"We reacted well throughout the game. When we lost the ball we reacted well. We passed it with patience and, when we could, with a purpose. It is not easy. The boys had courage and personality.

"It is nice for the fans to enjoy their day. All we do is go to Old Trafford on Tuesday and to get three points and play well. We are looking forward. We respect the competition and table. We are in a good position. We want more points. This is a hungry group."

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 min

    Norwich 0-0 Man City

Here we go. Can Man City go 12 points clear at the top again? Can Norwich move out of the relegation zone?

  11. 'The draw is fair'published at 17:30 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Brentford 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "In possession I don’t think we linked well enough to give them problems. I think out of possession we did fantastically well. The front three helped us defensively. Overall, I think the draw is fair for both teams.

"I think it’s all credit to the opposition team. We came here with the plan to create chances and trouble the opposition team, but they made it very difficult for us. As a team, I’m happy with the point we took today.

"It’s fantastic to have talent in your team, but we need a plan together – how we can create chances and score goals. At the moment, that’s a step forward we need to make as a team. We have the talent, but it’s not going to be enough."

On Christian Eriksen: "It doesn’t matter which team you support. It’s a fantastic story for Christian and for football. He’ll get back on the field and do what he loves doing. Hopefully he can find his form, find his talent again and do what he loves."

  12. 'A lot of positives'published at 17:28 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Brentford 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We got a point, first and foremost. I think this performance is the same level as the Wolves game – if there should have been a narrow winner, it should have been us.

"Today, again, it should have been a narrow winner – us. We created good opportunities. We gave one chance away which was our only mistake, I’d say. If we can keep that up, we’d be in a good place.

"We needed to create more to get one goal – that’s maybe down to the quality on the day. There are a lot of positives to take from this game."

On Ivan Toney's absence: "We always miss Ivan when he’s not there. We need to have more than one player. Wissa did a good job today, but it would have been fantastic to have Ivan. It’s good to know that we have some offensive quality waiting for us. It was good to see Josh Dasilva getting 30 minutes."

On Christian Eriksen's pre-match appearance: "Unfortunately I couldn’t experience the moment – I hope someone could record it. I’m pleased that the Crystal Palace fans applauded him. It’ll be a big moment in world football when he steps out on to the pitch to play. We’re pleased he’s with us, but we’d have supported him whichever club he was with."

  14. 'We can do a lot here'published at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Everton 3-0 Leeds

    Everton

More from Frank Lampard to Sky Sports on the Everton fans: "I've been here for two weeks. The fans love this club with a passion. When you're here you understand it's their life and how much it means to them. We can do a lot here."

  15. 'A great day for the family'published at 17:24 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Everton 3-0 Leeds

    Everton

Everton goalscorer Michael Keane to BBC: "From minute one we got in their faces and the crowd was brilliant today. We went 2-0 up then defended well.

"There's a bit of relief, yeah. It's been a bad time for everybody involved in the club but since the new manager has come in there has been a lot of positives. We're happy to see the hardwork coming off on the pitch."

What Frank Lampard has changed: "The intensity of training, the way we press and our ability on the ball. He has given us more freedom."

On twin brother Will Keane scoring for Wigan on the same day: "It's a great day. I saw they won. I'm buzzing for Will and obviously for us as well. It's a great day for the family. It's a good feeling.

"I'm really happy for him. He's doing so well with Wigan. If they get promoted it will be fantastic for him. Hopefully we can both have a good finish to the season."

  16. 'I'm just so proud of the performance'published at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Everton 3-0 Leeds

    Everton

Everton manager Frank Lampard to BBC MOTD: "It was nice! An incredible afternoon. What we did today was something special in terms of the performance. It showed an attitude, aggression and work rate. The fans, when they see what the players are putting into the game... What they give us. It has to be the start.

"I can see the talent. Individually you go through the team and there's ability in there. It was about being a strong unit and fighting for the fans. You have to be solid against Leeds. It was a great reaction, the fans would have enjoyed it - I certainly did. We need to use it for a base for where we want to go in the league.

"Relief is three points and the table looks slightly better this week but I'm just so proud of the performance. I haven't seen a performance like that in the first half for, pfft... That has made me really happy. We need to build.

"I thought Donny van de Beek was great. To play like that at home - his calmness, work rate and intelligence was great. Dele Alli was active when he came on. There will be more from them both. They are great additions and I believe they will get better.

"I've had a lot of support since I came to this club. It's humbling for me to have the fans supporting me so well."

  17. 'We’ve got to find some weaknesses'published at 17:21 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

Norwich v Man City (17:30 GMT)

Norwich City boss Dean Smith says his whole team will need 8/10 or 9/10 performances to have a chance today.

“They’re a very good team but I’m not going to anger Pep again by suggesting they are the best team in the world, but they’re certainly up there,” Smith said.

“We all know that we have to have 11 players with eight or nine out of 10 performances. Whenever there’s a challenge, there’s an opportunity for players as well.

“It’s 11 human beings against 11 human beings. Human beings have faults in them and can make mistakes. They make fewer, as everybody knows, but we’ve got to find some kind of weaknesses that we can put pressure on.”

  18. 'Margin to Liverpool is nothing'published at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

Norwich v Man City (17:30 GMT)

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says his side will need "more than 90 points" to hold off Liverpool in the race to win the Premier League.

City have 60 points with 14 games remaining, while second-placed Liverpool cut the gap to nine points with victory over Leicester and they have a game in hand on the leaders, against Leeds on Wednesday, 23 February.

As a result, Guardiola is convinced his team are in a real contest for the title.

"We have to fight to win the league," he said. "If we want to win, we’ll have to win an incredible amount of points against an incredible opponent.

"The margin to Liverpool is nothing."

  19. 'The early goal killed us'published at 17:15 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2022

    FT: Everton 3-0 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds United forward Daniel James: "We just didn't start well and they did. They were on the front foot and put us under pressure.

"When the crowd got behind them they looked like a great team. We tried to control the game a bit more but we didn't start at the races.

"We just didn't deal with it well. The crowd really got behind them and that worked in their favour. The early goal killed us a little bit. They were the better team today.

"We had to try and work to get back into the game and we couldn't. We had to keep creating chances but they got their second. We still believed we could get back into it. We all believe in ourselves, it just wasn't our day."

On Stuart Dallas' injury: "It's a massive blow. He is a great player and can play anywhere on the pitch. Hopefully he's not out for too long."
