Surging run and nice trickery from Rabbi Matondo and goalkeeper Kamil Grabara is forced to block his cross.

    Really impressive start from Matondo.

The crowd were treated to a 'kiss cam' at half time.

Apparently the Tarczynski Arena is a 1980s John Hughes movie.

Former Scotland manager on BBC Radio Wales

We've got players who could be considered the best in their teams in the Premier League like Andy Robertson, we've got quite a few now who can hold their own against anybody.

Steve Clarke has been very positive from the beginning and now the players believe what he says and the fans believe in the players and there's unity which definitely helps.

I'm very nervous but I'm very hopeful tonight.

Everything is quiet at Hampden Park at the moment but it won't be come kick-off time.

There's a great deal of respect that's been shown by both teams and a lot of really friendly talk but I'm sure that once the football begins it'll be different altogether.

I can't imagine how you display your love for your country as a football player to try to boost the guys fighting for Ukraine.

  8. Postpublished at 17:55 British Summer Time 1 June 2022

    HT: Poland 0-0 Wales

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Radio Wales

Both teams have performed well, Poland probably the better of the chances but Wales have looked good going forward.

The final cross hasn't quite been there for Wales but Robert Page will be absolutely delighted after all those changes against a full strength Poland.

    Nathan Blake
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

An excellent 45 minutes from Wales.

Poland started the better of the teams but after ten minutes Wales came into it.

There was one header Poland should score from but nothing majorly threatening.

Wales have kept the ball well and got into the game but no clear cut chances really.

Lewandowski is coming out of the box and is unmarked often that's just one thing for Wales to watch.

  10. HALF-TIME - Poland 0-0 Walespublished at 17:49 British Summer Time 1 June 2022

Referee Rade Obrenovič brings the first half to a close.

Wales will be very, very happy with that.

Poland missed two big chances, but Wales have been highly competitive without all their big star names.

    See you in 15 minutes.

Poland pressing as we approach half time, but Joe Morrell and Rhys Norrington-Davies produce two big blocks.

  12. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Poland 0-0 Wales

Wales boss Robert Page said pre-match his team would be changed at half time, with substitutions already pre-determined.

So some of these players only have a couple of minutes to go.

  13. CLOSE!published at 40 mins

    Poland 0-0 Wales

Sustained Wales pressure, but Jan Bednarek clears before Jonny Williams overhits his cross.

That's after Poland should have scored, but Adam Buksa just could not connect with a cross.

Poland have had the better chances, but Wales look dangerous.

  14. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Poland 0-0 Wales

Tenacious defending from Rhys Norrington-Davies who wins the ball and then Mateusz is Klich-baited into conceding a silly freekick.

    Poland are getting frustrated.

  15. Burns impressingpublished at 37 mins

    Poland 0-0 Wales

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Radio Wales

We've shown for the last three or four years that we're a competitive side no matter who comes in, really organised and hard to break down.

I've been really impressed with the play of Wes Burns so far, really good on the ball, really confident, looking to link with the front players.

Defensively every time Poland have got in crossing situations he's tucked in alongside Rhys Norrington-Davies.

  16. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Poland 0-0 Wales

As Nathan Blake was saying the same thing as me about Wales - great minds eh? - Jacek Goralsk saw his effort deflected wide.

    It was very speculative.

    Wales looking comfortable right now.

  17. Tough to beatpublished at 34 mins

    Poland 0-0 Wales

    Nathan Blake
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

I would have thought Poland have just worked out why this Wales team doesn't lose many games.

They're finding out Wales are a tough outfit to beat even without their superstars.

  18. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Poland 0-0 Wales

Wales break again, but their final ball is lacking.

But Wales are showing why they've become so tough to beat.

  19. Postpublished at 32 mins

    Poland 0-0 Wales

    Nathan Blake
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Dan James takes it early and that gap he's aiming for at the near post, if he gets it on target I think the defender blocks it.

He should have cut inside or really attack him on the outside but there wasn't really a gap for taking the shot early.

  20. CLOSE!published at 30 mins

    Poland 0-0 Wales

    Wales' best chance!

Poland turn the ball over and Wales have a three on two break, Daniel James races onto the ball but he opts to shoot at the near post and his effort is wide.

That wasn't the best bit of decision making.
