As a Liverpool fan, this match is a win-win. Either Frank will be dumped further into a relegation dogfight he has no skills for. Or Toffees fans will have to live with knowing they gave us a leg-up to the Prem title!

Manchester United were left frustrated by relegation-threatened Watford earlier on Saturday and this is deja vu.

Manchester City forward Phil Foden heads over from close range and puts his head in his hands.

    But don't smile just yet.

Jordan Pickford has pulled off a brilliant double save, denying Kevin de Bruyne's low curler and then pushing away Bernardo Silva's follow up.

They're starting to smile over at Anfield.

The attackers haven't done the business so defender John Stones attempts to, thumping one from outside the area which Jordan Pickford pushes over the bar.

To both anons, if Liverpool win all their games and City win all theirs except the one against Liverpool, the league will be decided on goal difference

The idea that a team that has more points “doesn’t have an advantage” is hilarious. Draws happen in football, defeats happen. That’s how it works.

Bit more joy for City this time but they cannot find a way past Jordan Pickford.

Re: Anon at 18:33 - you could say the same about City, even if they draw this game. If one of the teams wins the City-Liverpool game on 9th April they will almost certainly win the league.

City are getting into decent positions inside the box but just cannot find that crucial final pass.

Michael Keane and Mason Holgate are in the right place at the right time on each occasion.

Now the game is starting to get a little stretched.

Alex Iwobi is crowded out and City pounce, but Bernardo Silva's touch lets him down on a rare occasion and the chance is lost.

    Never looked like scoring.

Richarlison is played through on goal, one on one with Ederson, but doesn't look steady and sees his drive blocked by his Brazil international team-mate.

The flag goes up late anyway.

Neat football from Everton, confidently moving it around and Anthony Gordon nearly latches on to a throughball but Ilkay Gundogan toe-pokes it away.

The leaders don’t have an advantage. As it stands if Liverpool win every game they’ll win. That’s the advantage.
