  3. League Two full-timespublished at 21:53 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2022

The wheels are off in League Two after a night of drama and curiosity.

Late excitement has seen Sutton United move up into the top three after coming from behind to win 3-2 at home to Colchester after twice being a goal down to the visitors.

A delay caused by a tractor being on the pitch at Port Vale hasn't helped the hosts as they have lost to a strike by Salford's Tom Elliott.

Stevenage made the most of their second-half possession to win 2-1, despite Crawley's best efforts.

Table-topping Forest Green's match against Mansfield was called off early on due to heavy fog.

Both Preston and Sheffield United climb a couple of places with a point apiece.

But they both remain in that very congested middle third of the table both nine points adrift of the play-off places.

Wigan come from behind and hang on to beat Morecambe 2-1.

Cole Stockton's early goal was cancelled out by Will Keane in first-half stoppage time and then Stephen Humphrys found the winner for them with 17 minutes left.

Cambridge United beat struggling Doncaster Rovers 3-1 as Sam Smith netted the hosts' third in stoppage time.

It finished goalless at Plough Lane with AFC Wimbledon and Portsmouth unable to break each other down.

    Preston 2-2 Sheffield United

10-man Preston North End have snatched a draw after staring defeat in the face at half-time.

After captain Alan Browne gave the Lilywhites hope, Emil Riis Jakobsen punished a loose ball to ensure that Ryan Lowe's side go four league matches unbeaten since he took over last month.

  9. League Two latestpublished at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2022

We said Sutton United were piling on the pressure in a bid to make it into the top three in League Two.

They have now found a late goal and it is Will Randall who looks to have completed their comeback after Matt Gray's side twice went behind at home to Colchester.

    Emil Riis Jakobsen (89 mins)

    Oh my word.

It seemed a tough ask at the break, with Preston 2-0 down with 10 men.

But when the veteran striker David McGoldrick was beaten to the ball upfield, Ryan Lowe's side broke with with speed and the drilled-in cross was tucked home by the lively Emil Riis Jakobsen.

    That is some comeback!

  17. Postpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2022

    Preston 1-2 Sheffield United

A tricky situation for Sheffield United in the sense that Preston are a man down and a goal down in front of their home fans and have nothing to lose by going for it.

The Blades will hope David McGoldrick's experience in holding the ball up will help them as we head into the final 10 minutes.

  18. Postpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2022

    Fulham 5-2 Birmingham City

Still no goal tonight for Aleksandar Mitrovic and he's still flying around trying to chase one down to add to his 27 so far this season!

    Fabio Carvalho (75 mins)

    Hope short-lived for Birmingham fans...

Almost straight from the restart, Fulham net a fifth of the night and Fabio Carvalho's second.

Given some space to run into just outside the box, he shifts the ball on to his right and finds the bottom right corner with a slide-rule finish.
