  1. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Sheffield United 1-0 West Brom

Billy Sharp has the ball in the net again!

But this time it won't count as he sees the linesman's flag raised.

It was a wonderful ball in from Conor Hourihane, who stroked the ball into that famous corridor of uncertainty and Sharp applied the finishing touch.

The veteran hitman disagrees with the linesman's decision you won't be surprised to hear!

  2. goal

GOAL: Cardiff 2-0 Peterboroughpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Aden Flint (39 mins)

Big Aden Flint thrashes in a half-volley to put the Bluebirds 2-0 up against Peterborough, who had been threatening.

Joe Ralls swept a corner in which wasn't cleared sufficiently, as Flint chested it down, allowed it to bounce and arrowed in a fierce drive through a crowd.

Tough ask for Posh from here.

  3. Postpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Preston 0-0 Huddersfield

Not too much to tell in this one so far with neither side able to muster a shot on target yet.

Preston have been forced into an early change, with Greg Cunningham unable to continue and Josh Earl taking his place.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Bournemouth 2-0 Birmingham

Birmingham strike lucky as Kristian Pedersen gets a yellow rather than red when he brought down a breaking Dominic Solanke.

The home side then come close to a third when Jaidon Anthony curls into the box, but Phillip Billing's header clattered the upright.

  5. Postpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Sheffield United 1-0 West Brom

It's a really lively game here.

West Brom reacted well to going behind, with Grady Diangana finding his way through on goal but he was eventually unable to finish it.

Then at the other end Sam Johnstone has to react well to prevent Billy Sharp getting his second.

    Entertaining stuff.

  6. goal

GOAL: QPR 1-0 Middlesbroughpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Ilias Chair (29 mins)

    A beauty!

It's come against the run of play but it's a lovely goal from QPR's Ilias Chair to put his side in front.

He finds space on the edge of the box and has time to set himself with his first touch, before curling a fine effort past the goalkeeper.

Delightful finish by Dominic Solanke as Bournemouth double their lead against Birmingham.

Ivan Sunjic lost possession in midfield and Jaidon Anthony was quick to launch a counter.

Ryan Christie then teed up Solanke, who lashed low into the far corner beyond Neil Etheridge.

  8. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Blackburn 0-1 Nott'm Forest

Deyovaisio Zeefuik is an all-action fella isn't he? On his first Blackburn start he popped a ball with a tackle, and today he's just gone booling into the stands over the advertising boards.

Painful. But he peeled himself up and back on the pitch.

Jan Paul van Hecke did well to deny Brennan Johnson on the break too.

  9. Postpublished at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Bristol City 0-0 Reading

No Nigel Pearson tonight for Bristol City, and Curtis Fleming has been busy in his place.

Han Noah Massengo has gone off with Joe Williams coming on.

Antoine Semenyo has rippled the side-netting for the hosts, the closest they've come.

Reading's best chance came to Tom Dele-Bashiru, but his shot was deflected wide by Tomas Kalas.

  10. 'Cardiff could be four up'published at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Cardiff 1-0 Peterborough

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Cardiff could be three or four up already, but they've only managed one goal so far.

Since Tommy Doyle hit the post and Joe Ralls scored the opener, Jordan Hugill has headed against the woodwork and missed a glorious chance by heading over from six yards.

It's encouraging for the hosts that they're creating so many opportunities, but they'll want to make this domination count.

  11. goal

GOAL: Sheffield United 1-0 West Brompublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Billy Sharp (22 mins)

    The Blades lead!

Their talisman Billy Sharp is the scorer and it's slightly fortuitous as he hits a shot on the turn which deflects into the net.

Good work from David McGoldrick and George Baldock before that.

What was that we were saying about West Brom needing a win? Their task has just got a lot harder.

  12. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 0-1 Nott'm Forestpublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    James Garner (22 mins)

Forest have the breakthrough at Ewood Park and it's James Garner who supplies the finish.

Keinan Davis was the architect again with a driving run, and Garner tiptoed his way past the Rovers defence, leaving Jan Paul van Hecke sprawling on his back before lashing past Thomas Kaminski.

Rovers will rue their missed chances here. Deyovaisio Zeefuik will think he should have done better with Davis' run too.

  13. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    QPR 0-0 Middlesbrough

The visitors are keeping QPR keeper David Marshall busy tonight!

He's been forced into a number of smart saves, with the latest seeing him tip Andraz Sporar's header over the bar.

Boro will want to score while they're on top considering the form the hosts are in.

  14. Postpublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Blackburn 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Max Lowe comes close to a goal for Forest with a couple of snap shots from the left.

Keinan Davis did well to drive into the box, and the ball broke to Lowe twice, but his first effort was saved by Thomas Kaminski and the second rippled the side netting.

  15. Postpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Brom

West Brom could really do with a win tonight.

Their poor form meant the end of the road for Valerien Ismael and although they remain sixth, the teams below them are massing and well within striking distance.

Top scorer Karlan Grant has just hit the side netting after a good break by Alex Mowatt, as new manager Steve Bruce watches on.

    Ryan Christie (17 mins)

Bournemouth step up a gear at the Vitality, and finally have the lead through Ryan Christie.

The Scotland winger tucks in after Philip Billing squared the ball, and after the Cherries had struck the crossbar in the previous move.

    Blackburn 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Superb save by Brice Samba keeps Forest level after a quickly taken free-kick found John Buckley all on his own.

Ben Brereton Diaz tried to fire in the rebound from an acute angle, but it was blocked off the line by Scott McKenna.

Blackburn will wonder how they are not ahead. It was a toe away from an opener.

  18. Postpublished at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Preston 0-0 Huddersfield

The hosts have had the lion's share of possession in the early stages and have just had the first effort on goal.

Ched Evans got on the end of a cross about 12 yards out but saw his effort blocked well by Ollie Turton who puts his body on the line to keep that clean sheet intact!

  19. Postpublished at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Bournemouth 0-0 Birmingham

Bournemouth have been under the pump a bit.

Lyle Taylor almost looped a header in, that was cleared off the line eventually.

Birmingham showing signs of promise down on the south coast.

  20. Great start from Bluebirdspublished at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2022

    Cardiff 1-0 Peterborough

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

What a start it's been from Cardiff.

Seconds after Tommy Doyle hit the post from 20 yards, Joe Ralls puts the hosts in front with a neat finish following a fine run and cross from the right wing by Isaak Davies.

If Cardiff win tonight, they'll move 12 points clear of Peterborough and the relegation zone, so that could be an important goal.
