Swansea are on top here but perhaps they need to take a few more risks if they're to go on and take all three points.

    Swansea City 1-1 Bristol City

A needless and reckless challenge from Jay Dasilva gifts Swansea an ideal position for a free-kick.

The delivery is chipped to Matt Grimes at the back post and he connects well with his volley but the effort is blocked.

From the clearance Hannes Wolf tries his luck from distance but it curls high and wide.

    Swansea City 1-1 Bristol City

Swansea have been playing with fire all day, and this time goalkeeper Andy Fisher loses possession to Andreas Weimann in his own six-yard box.

The Bristol City captain's strike is turned behind for a corner, but Swansea are living dangerously.

Fisher does makes amends by claiming the corner, but nervy moments for the home crowd.

The pressure is temporarily relieved as Chris Martin twists and turns his way into the Swansea box, managing to keep possession despite the bouncing ball, but his shot is well blocked by Ben Cabango.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 63 mins

    Swansea City 1-1 Bristol City

That Michael Obafemi challenge on Max O'Leary has taken its toll, and the Bristol City keeper is replaced by Daniel Bentley.

Han-Noah Massengo has also been replaced by Joe Williams as the Robins look to regain their foothold in this match.

The home crowd are enjoying themselves now.

The goal has spurred Swansea on, they're the only team creating chances of note at the moment.

  9. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Swansea City 1-1 Bristol City

Michael Obafemi continues to be a threat, this time he is a little eager though, and his attempt to slide onto a cross instead hits Bristol keeper Max O'Leary and the Swans forward is booked.

Obafemi is perhaps lucky not to have seen a second card moments later when he goes into a sliding challenge with Cameron Pring, but the referee gives the free kick Swansea's way.

    Here we go. Game-on!

Swansea absolutely deserved that and it changes everything. They've been far better this second half and have all the momentum now.

It's a poachers goal from Obafemi.

It's not the greatest shot from Christie in the box, but Obafemi has been alert all game.

GOAL - Swansea City 1-1 Bristol Citypublished at 54 mins

    Michael Obafemi

Well after nine minutes of no real quality Swansea have equalised through Michael Obafemi.

Obafemi has looked the most likely to score for the hosts all afternoon and he finally has his third goal of the season.

Cyrus Christie has found himself in good areas today but his final ball has been wasteful, this time however it's a poor shot that goes across the face of the goal.

Obafemi reacts quickest however, to stab home at the far post. We're all square in south Wales.

    Swansea City 0-1 Bristol City

The rain has come down in the break and the now slippery surface is causing players to lose their footing already.

Swansea, like usual, are dominating possession in the early minutes of the half, but the final ball is letting them down.

  15. 'Make Bristol defend'published at 48 mins

    Swansea City 0-1 Bristol City

    Andy Robinson
Former Swansea winger on BBC Radio Wales

Swansea had two shots in the first half and one shot on Tuesday night. They're getting into alright positions in the final third but they're going back.

Make Bristol City defend, make it a difficult afternoon for them.

You can have you 72% of the football, but if you're not hurting them or creating chances then you're not going to win the game.

The worst part about it [the goal], as Ben Cabango went forward you could see it coming, if they lost the ball they were going to be in big trouble.

Ben Cabango stepped out of defence, lost possession and left a big gap.

Ryan Manning was then in two minds because he could have brought Weimann down but had he done so he'd have been sent off.

I thought he was just onside when I saw it initially but I'm not so sure after seeing the replay.

  20. HALF-TIME - Swansea City 0-1 Bristol Citypublished at 13:48 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2022

It's been a first half full of intensity from both sides, but it is Bristol City who lead at the break.

The hosts have dominated possession, Michael Obafemi and Hannes Wolf looking the brightest pair.

But with the ball the Swans have been careless at times, Antoine Semenyo and Andreas Weimann stealing back possession in dangerous positions more than once.

And it was those two who combined for the goal. Ben Cabango and Joel Piroe got their wires crossed and Semenyo played Weimann through on goal, and the Robins captain made no mistake when presented with the chance.

Lots for Russell Martin to discuss at the break, second half to come shortly. Grab a cuppa and we'll meet you back here in a couple of minutes.
