Tom Lockyer pokes a ball over as Cambridge United struggle to get the ball clear. That was a good chance for the visitors to add a third.

Carlos Mendes Gomes wins Luton a corner when his cutback is deflected behind. Elliot Thorpe sends the ball in but Cambridge clear.

Ouch.

Elliot Thorpe gets crunched as he tries to get forward for Luton and he's needing a bit of treatment.

Thankfully he is up on his feet and more stunned he hasn't got a free kick than feeling any lasting pain from the challenge.

Paul Digby gets into space down the left but puts too much on his cross and it goes behind for a goal kick. The wind may have had an influence there in fairness.

Kidderminster came so close to a historic result but had their hearts broken by West Ham.

Everton

Everton boss Frank Lampard: "Before the game we spoke about the confidence a result would bring in. The attitude and the way the players approached the game, we were the team on top. Scoring the first goal has been an issue. It always helps.

"It was an Everton performance, what the fans want to see, in terms of aggression and quality.

"It was a joint effort from the players and fans. When you're in a tough time confidence can go down. The players were brave, they wanted to play.

"The things we worked on, you could see it in the game. The fans were into that. The second goal, the way we stayed calm and played through the lines, it’s great the players could see it.

"I felt confident before the game but I didn't want to tell you that. I saw the players work and train at a real level.

"Positive ones [personnel decisions] now even if difficult. My job is to keep some balance. We know big games are coming ahead. You need positive competition."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I wouldn't say it was comfortable but we started the game well. We wanted to play from the start with intensity and to get that early goal and we managed to do it. It allowed us to control the game a bit more. I am really satisfied with the professionalism we showed. We want to give ourselves the best chance to go as far as we can.

"It is a tricky competition. When you play against the lower league there is an excitement. They try to create an upset and we didn't want to be one of those teams.

"It is still too early (to say how far Palace could go). What we want is to have a good run. To go to the end, you need luck as well."

On Michael Olise: "He is playing with a lot of confidence. There is no doubt about his talent. He is a really special player. He has a long way to go and has a lot to learn. He is making progress since he arrived. WE will be demanding on him as he has the talent to deliver. But he won't be like that every weekend. Talent is not enough, he will have to work hard."

On Palace's support and donation for Gemma, the wife of Hartlepool boss Graeme Lee, who is suffering from a brain tumour: "It shows how Palace is as a football club. Since I have been in this club, something I really love is the dedication they have for the fans and people who love the club. It is a special club. To be part of this family it makes me even prouder to see this gesture for Graeme's family."

Hartlepool manager Graeme Lee, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I was disappointed first half as we sat off them too much. The goal we conceded from a set-piece we shouldn't do. Second half we came out, dropped the shackles and got at them more. We were in the game. But we gave ourselves an uphill battle against a Premier League team. We kept going and were excellent second half. We need to be that in our league games now.

"When we got hold of the ball and moved it we got up the pitch well. Unfortunately, we didn't take any chances. We had a fantastic one at 1-0 with Ferguson and a back-stick header. Put that away and you don't know.

"After the game, the noise the fans make and the support they give us, they have been amazing."

On Palace's support and donation for his wife Gemma, who is suffering from a brain tumour: "It has blown me away. I can't thank them enough. We have had a hell of a three years. The support throughout has kept my wife and us all strong. What Palace have done and the support from fans, I haven't looked now but last time I did we've got over a year's supply of medication. It is phenomenal. I can't thank people enough.

"It means everything (to have his family at the game). They have supported through everything the last three years. When I went for the job and she told me to go get it. It felt a positive change. I give everything to make it a success but to see them there at the end meant everything."

Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC Sport: "I suffer a lot. We played against a fantastic team. I enjoyed a lot watching them [Fulham] and suffered a lot watching them because they know exactly what to do on the ball. The quality of our players made the difference in the end.

"We have seen how many Premier League teams this weekend suffered to qualify. [Manchester] United are out. This cup is tricky. We conceded and it was 0-1. But after that we equalised quickly. The second half was much, much better."

On how important the FA Cup is: "A lot, a lot. What a competition. There are a lot of surprises. I saw the game West Ham played against sixth division. I said they [Kidderminster] play good.

"We are in the next round and we will see the draw. We're happy to be there."

Fulham boss Marco Silva: "One of the things I asked our players in week and last-thing in the pre-match meeting as well, was to show the courage to play at Etihad the same way that you are playing at all the pitches in this country so far this season. That was the main thing, to show our quality and that the way we are playing is the right way for us to keep improving, and I think we did it.

"I am really pleased with the way we played the first half - I think we matched them. Of course the game is for 90 minutes not just 45 minutes, and we are disappointed with the defeat - but we took many positives from the first half.

"The second half showed us what we should improve, in terms of focus and being a little more aggressive, and showing more resilience at certain moments."

Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva, speaking to BBC Sport: "We knew before the match Manchester City would create problems for us. They were the favourites. I am sure they are favourites playing at home against any team in this country and Europe as well.

"We had a very good first half but the worst thing for us was to concede so quickly.

"We were always in the game in the first half. Unfortunately the second half was not in the same way."

On Liverpool target Fabio Carvalho: "All the rumours around him doesn't disturb him. He showed his quality and I am happy with him."

Manchester City

Manchester City's Fernandinho to BBC Sport: "This was typical of the FA Cup. Fulham started the game a little bit better than us. I am glad we equalised so quickly. Overall it was a good game and we controlled it.

"I'm happy we got through. We knew they had so much quality up front. At Manchester City you have to show your quality every second you are on the pitch.

"The FA Cup is really important. I hope we can make the final and give the fans a trip to Wembley."
