Good pressing from England's attack forces Canada's keeper to concede a throw-in deep inside her own half.

At 1-0, Canada will feel they are still very much in this. A scrappy start to the new half but that will suit England. Canada are on the attack but it comes to a frustrating end after a foul.

I spoke to Canadian goalkeeper Rylee Foster, who plays for Liverpool, after she suffered life-threatening injuries in a horrific car accident four months ago.

Foster spoke about the mental challenges she has faced, the physical complications of her injury, the next steps in her recovery and how it was a "miracle" she survived.

That was a really good half from England. You can see what they are trying to do every time they have the ball and there's a clear style of play - something they have lacked in recent years.

Fran Kirby has made some decent runs and Lauren Hemp is the best player on the pitch. Sarina Wiegman must be pleased. Canada haven't offered too much.

Great game. Brilliant goal. The Lionesses are fun to watch.

Lauren Hemp has hardly put a foot wrong.

She's unmarked and in a great position inside the box to make it 2-0 but puts a big opportunity wide.

Can England double the lead before half-time? Lots of flicks and tricks from the Lionesses but Kadeisha Buchanan has been excellent for Canada at the back.

Plenty of encouraging signs for England. Demi Stokes and Lauren Hemp have combined so well down the left and Canada can't cope with them. That cross from Stokes a few moments ago was inches over Alessia Russo's head.

This is a great watch. England are not sitting back and Demi Stokes skips away down the wing before delivering a lovely cross into the six yard area which Alessia Russo narrowly fails to connect with.

Canada are just starting to get back in the game because we've seen Jessie Fleming on the ball a little bit more. She's so dynamic, she's so lively.

We just need to be aware of her, she's that important to the Canada team. When she gets to grip with the game, she starts to dictate the rhythm and tempo for her team.

Millie Bright is as good at defending as she is at dispatching sweet volleys into the net. England's goal hero gets her head on the end of a Canada cross to make an important clearance.

More outstanding work by Lauren Hemp down the left hand side. She cuts it back but Kadeisha Buchanan makes two vital blocks to prevent the Lionesses from doubling the lead.

Nothing is falling for Canada in the box. England are solid at the back and are dealing with everything that lands in the box.

Rachel Daly goes in hard for a challenge and comes off second best. She's hurt herself and is down for a few moments. England have been aggressive. Just how Sarina Wiegman will like it.
