England are very ponderous and look rattled at the back. Switzerland really fancy this and it was a superb reaction save from Jordan Pickford that prevented Fabian Frei making it 2-0.
Gareth Southgate's side very laboured.

One moment in this first half; a real piece of quality. A great cross comes in and Embolo peels off in the box. Ben White is ball-watching. It is a good finish.

And just as I say that, Jordan Pickford is called into action.

It has been a very cagey, tactical battle. Nobody is really throwing too much at it in an attacking sense; there is nowhere for England to create overloads.

This really does have the feel of an international friendly with nothing major riding on it.

England finding one or two more attacking positions as this friendly springs to life but it can certainly be filed under "uneventful" so far.

Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw is winning his 20th England cap today.
That has taken a long time, having made his debut back in 2014, but he has been unfortunate with a string of injuries and struggling with his form.

Rob Elmore: Wonder what the odds are on Xhaka being sent off?

Mason Mount has the look of a guy who is in desperate need of some hair wax or a hair cut.
