Germany have a NINTH straight win in their sights after a goal on the stroke of half-time by Thomas Muller in Amsterdam.

The 2014 World Cup winner fired home in what is his 112th appearance for his country.

Earlier, Chelsea's Timo Werner headed against the bar while Donyell Malen - who plays his club football in Germany for Borussia Dortmund - went closest for the Netherlands when he raced clean through but fired wide with only the keeper to beat.

He created one with a brilliant bit of skill and Raheem Sterling has benefited from a brilliant bit of skill from his team-mate Jack Grealish. It was there, six yards out, just hit the target, you get the feeling this game is done.

    Raheem Sterling (45 mins)

    Oh, this is lovely!

Ollie Watkins' hold-up play in the centre is really good and he flicks it on to Raheem Sterling.

His shot is rebounded to City team-mate Jack Grealish, who immediately volleys it back into Sterling. He connects first-time and slides it past the keeper.

Jack Grealish swings a nice ball over the top for Ollie Watkins. It comes back to Raheem Sterling but his shot is blocked.

It has kind of killed the game. Jack Grealish didn't want him sent off, it was a good match-up. Now they will just sit in, you feel.

He looks mystified and we're not 100% sure why he received the second yellow card, but we said a few minutes ago Ivory Coast were in danger of losing their discipline.

  14. RED CARD - Serge Aurierpublished at 41 mins

    England 1-0 Ivory Coast

Ah. It's not good for Ivory Coast.

Serge Aurier comes in late on Tyrone Mings and he was already on a booking. He gets another one and that's him off!

Jack Grealish looks a bit miffed. I think he knows this probably won't be too competitive now.

Huge waste. Nicolas Pepe gets the corner played short to him but he skies one from outside the box. Not even close!

Jean Michael Seri is played in down the right and Tyrone Mings has to come across to concede a corner.

That's the first time Ivory Coast have got in behind on that side.

Lovely stuff! One-touch passing and some quick flicks down the left see England win a corner.

Tyrone Mings goes for the delivery at the near post but it's cleared and Jack Grealish gives away a foul in midfield to stop the counter-attack.
