It had been coming. England very bright in attack and Raheem Sterlng laid that on a plate for Ollie Watkins. Ivory Coast have shown nothing in attack so far.

Raheem Sterling is really enjoying himself. He skips past a few players as he cuts inside off the right and Fulham's Jean Michael Seri brings him down with a scrape on the back of his heel. He gets a yellow card for it too.

Brilliant skill from the captain, a brilliant bit of individual play to make the space. If Ollie Watkins wanted an audition for Manchester City, that was it. A Manchester City-style goal, brilliant from Sterling.

It just needs that intensity off the ball - when they do press, because there is no threat in behind at the moment, they can press with real purpose.

Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham put pressure on Ivory Coast and win it for England just outside their box.

It comes across to Raheem Sterling but his early cross is blocked. There's a few appeals for handball but it looked like it hit the ribs!

Harry Maguire reads a through ball and uses his body to see it out for a goal kick.

He gets an applause from the Wembley crowd who didn't give him the warmest of welcomes earlier.

Tyrick Mitchell takes his eye off the ball and miscontrols it near the touchline but he gets an encouraging clap off Gareth Southgate and a shout from Jack Grealish nearby. A big night for the Palace full-back.

Not many goals around in Europe, where we are keeping a particularly close eye on the World Cup play-off matches between Poland-Sweden and Portugal-North Macedonia.

However, Belgium have scored two quick goals in a friendly against Burkina Faso with Hans Vanaken and Brighton's Leandro Trossard finding the net.

Jude Bellingham is bossing things in midfield. He slides in to win a loose ball and it kickstarts England's attack.

James Ward-Prowse pings it over to Jack Grealish, he teases the full-back then drills it towards the near post. Not too far away.

Burnley's Maxwel Cornet gets in behind Ben White down the left and wins a corner when his cross is blocked.

It comes to nothing.
