Greenock Morton 1-2 Raith Rovers
Two Morton corners come in from each corner flag, the first forces Jame MacDonalds into a save and Gozie Ugwu attacks the second but MacDonald is alert again to deny him an equaliser.
The wind is causing all sorts of problems when high-balls are floated in down the end where MacDonald is.

Quote MessageMorton are just building up a wee head of steam in the last few moments.
Greenock Morton 1-2 Raith Rovers
Gozie Ugwu has also started this half like he started the last.
The striker has been running the line, getting in behind, and offering himself as an out ball.

Raith are out and starting like they ended the first half — on the ascendency
A long way to go in this one yet, though.

Quote MessageThe way the first half has panned out will have taken the wind out of Morton's sails. They started so well and were first to every ball, to fall behind to two goals will be super disappointing.

Quote MessageThe quality has been excellent. I thought Morton were going to come in at the interval 1-0 after a great start but Raith fought back well.
Morton certainly dominated the early stages of the half but Raith fought their way back into it.
The home side took the lead through Gozie Ugwu from close range after a shot cannoned off Jamie MacDonald back into a crowded box
A few good chances forced some excellent saves out of Jack Hamilton before Sam Stanton was brought down by Michael Ledger in the box, allowing Jamie Gullan to convert from the spot.
With the last kick of the half, Reghan Tumilty grabbed Raith Rover's second and rounded off an excellent first-half comeback from the away side.
Reghan Tumilty
Tumilty reacts to a loose ball just outside the box and fires a low shot towards goal.
It seemed to be a relatively easy shot for Jack Hamilton to save but it somehow nestles in the bottom corner.
Jamie Gullan
Morton keeper Jack Hamilton guesses the right way by Gullan's penalty was hit with such ferocity that it flew past him.
That's Gullan's first goal since joining Raith permanently.
Sam Stanton is brought down in the box by Michael Ledger.
Greenock Morton 1-0 Raith Rovers
Raith are knocking on the door now as we approach half-time.
They work a short corner back to the taker, Sam Stanton, who unleashes a venomous strike back towards goal from an awkward angle. Jack Hamilton was equal to it in the Morton goal.
Greenock Morton 1-0 Raith Rovers
Raith come agonisingly close to levelling it, out of nowhere.
Reghan Tumilty flashes an outstanding ball across goal but his fellow wingback Liam Dick cannot reach it on the slide.
It looked like Dick had checked his run to stay onside, and that half-yard is what he needed to tap it in.
Greenock Morton 1-0 Raith Rovers
The game has settled down a touch following the goal.
Raith have shored up their defence a little but are still struggling to get up the pitch.

Quote MessageJohn McGlynn will not be overly happy with his side's reaction to going 1-0 down. They haven't done enough to work themselves back into it, I don't think.
Greenock Morton 1-0 Raith Rovers
Should the scoreline remain with Raith losing all three points, and Partick Thistle win tomorrow, John McGlynn's side will be out of the play-off places.
A lot more urgency is already needed from the away side if they're to stage any sort of comeback.

Quote MessageIt's not a howler from MacDonald by any stretch of the imagination. But it's one where he'll have wanted to do better.
Gozie Ugwu
A Morton free-kick bounces around in the box and after being nodded down the ball is hit straight at Jamie MacDonald who is unable to hold it. Ugwu is on hand to smash it in from close-range for his sixth goal of the season.
