Arsenal have been a much better side since Xhaka returned to the team. He and Partey have established the stable partnership that Arteta was hoping for last season.

Guy Hide: Wow, it's actually like watching vintage Arsenal. Dare I use that much maligned term and describe Mikel Arteta as 'underrated' right now?

Arsenal are well on their way to a FOURTH straight league win. And they're certainly turning on the style. They have 13 games after this including Liverpool and Manchester United at home. Those should be cracking games if they play like this.

CM: Watford players sure go down easy these days. Must be windy out there.

Specs: He should be sent off for that. Absolutely embarrassing . Barely any touch and he's playing for the Oscar.

Cumulatively Arsenal's 3 goal scorers are still 11 years younger than Roy Hodgson. Bright Future for Arsenal.

Arsenal's third goal should be disallowed, Arteta was clearly out of his technical area when getting the ball & assisting a quick throw in leading to the goal.

Just a hunch but I don't think this is going to stay 3-1.

Half an hour to go and Arsenal are moving it around with real style.

This could be a long second half for Watford.

I have no idea how Arsenal are doing this well. They started the season poorly, and haven't had great transfer windows. They lost their best striker and the others are out of contract at the end of the season. Yet somehow they're scoring goals and getting results. Is failing up a thing?

That is the best goal of the lot. Typical Arsenal.

The ball goes out for a throw-in. Bukayo Saka takes a quick one and then it's one touch football.

Alexandre Lacazette lays it off and Gabriel Martinelli whips it into the top corner.

Watford are unhappy with a couple of Arsenal challenges. Aaron Ramsdale in not having his most convincing game. Another clearance goes straight to a Watford man but Ramsdale retrieves the situation by saving from Tom Cleverley.

Mikel Arteta was heavily involved in that goal!

His quick reactions allowed his side to break quickly.

The Gunners boss got a hug from his backroom team during the celebrations.

    Gabriel Martinelli

    And another wonderful team goal.

Mikel Arteta retrieves the ball quickly after it goes out of play which allows Bukayo Saka to take a quick throw-in.

Arsenal are on the charge and Martin Odegaard and Alexandre Lacazette combine to tee-up Gabriel Martinelli to crack home.

    Splendid.

Over in Spain, Barcelona are about to kick-off and it's got me thinking.

Are Arsenal a better unit without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang?

It's an interesting debate which has split fans.

@Big Gray - anyone could see that Saka has ability. The question was always why anyone wanted to pay silly money for Sancho, a player who hadn't proved his worth outside of the Bundesliga, and had yet to really show scintilating form for England.
