Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers, speaking to BBC Sport: “They were both great goals. Tim, you saw his face when he scored, it was a surprise to us all. He gets up there and has a good strike. Excellent finish. I’m delighted for him, he’s had a tough season.

“James, I near enough expect that, his quality is so high. He’s been absolutely brilliant for me, he’s scored a number of free-kicks. Two wonderful goals.

“The guys came though a tough week of games and played a team after a fresh week. We stood up to them and were strong and aggressive. I’m very proud of them for that but we always look to improve."

“We want to stay and race for fourth place – it won’t be easy but I think before my arrival this target was very, very difficult. The target continues to be difficult but we are improving a lot as a team.

“There are four teams that in my opinion in England are better than the others – I am talking about Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

"But if there is one of this four teams that fail in the season and miss to stay in one of the four places I think that now at this moment, Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham they need to be ready to try to stay until the end.

"Everything can happen especially in England. Last season Liverpool struggle a lot, now this season Manchester United struggle. We know at this moment Arsenal have a big advantage but at the same time we have a game here against Arsenal so we will see."

Tottenham's Son Heung-min, speaking to BBC MOTD: "It's always a big three points it doesn't matter which game. West Ham is a tough side. For us, before the international break, it was a massive three points."

On scoring his side's third goal: "I was just focused on what I was doing and I saw where the keeper was. I was really focused to finish well. In that moment everyone is watching you.

"Every game I really enjoy playing with [Harry Kane]. He gave me two assists today, next game I will give him assists. I always want Harry to score and want him doing well as a friend.

"The manager is demanding which is really good. He trusts us and as a player you want to always improve. He brings us amazing stuff, we are doing a lot of improvement. We are always working hard to improve the way he is wanting us to play.

"We want to focus on our games because there are a lot of games to play until the end of the season."

West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes, speaking to BBC Sport: "I am more disappointed by the last minute from our centre-halves, if the under 12s did that you'd be disappointed.

"Kane and Son were excellent, Kane was magnificent in the way that he played.

"We've had an incredibly good week, we really have. We won in midweek and that took out a lot of energy. The last team we wanted to play on Sunday was Tottenham.

"But if you want to be a big club and play in Europe you're got to accept you're going to play Thursday-Sunday. Or if you make it to the Champions League, Wednesday-Saturday."

"We hung right in there after we went 2-0 down early on - Tottenham hadn't really caused any problems. I saw them do the same to Everton the other week where they had very few opportunities and Everton had the ball but their breakaway and counter-attack is so good through Kane and Son. And they did that to us today as well.

"I have to give the players huge credit for hanging in and getting back to 2-1 and then we give away and under-12s goal for the last goal when it should have been us, maybe, getting an attempt, you would hope, in the last minute or two.

"It's disappointing but they've had a great week and put in brilliant efforts all week so I can't complain."

West Ham United

West Ham defender Ben Johnson to Sky Sports on tiredness after extra-time in Europa League on Thursday: "I wouldn't say it was so much down to Thursday, we are professionals, this is what we do, we prepared well.

"When you play on Thursday and then Sunday, it's that first 20 minutes where you need to get your legs going and really warm up. I think unfortunately we didn't do that.

"Of course we've had a tough week, we played extra time, but it's not an excuse because all the lads are fit and we didn't look out of place. We just need to cut out the mistakes and we've been brilliant at doing that the last how many games."

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte to MOTD on his side's top-four chances: "We have this ambition, the ambition is to target fourth place. Before my arrival this seemed difficult to reach. But now after five months this is starting working.

"We want to stay in this race until the end. It's very difficult but we are improving in a way that I like. I think we lost two games at home to Southampton and Wolverhampton that killed us in the moment.

"But also it was the right moment to go stronger and to work harder and to continue to make improvements in many aspects.

"This team is growing in the mentality, they are learning to control the game and this is very important."

"On the ball we didn’t do a lot wrong. We tried to play but unfortunately we made mistakes. Mistakes happen and it cost us two goals early.

"We fought back into the game brilliantly and got good possession and it was sort of like a basketball game at times. They had chances, we were trying to threaten them. I thought we would get the second but they went on to get a third."
