It took a massive deflection, Kane and Moura were nowhere near in the middle and it took a ridiculous deflection off Solly March. A huge piece of luck for Tottenham.

    Solly March (own goal)

    Spurs are on fire.

Emerson Royal collects the ball inside his own half and bursts forward before being forced out wide.

He then attempts a cross which takes a big deflection off Solly March and the ball loops into the net.

That might go down as an own goal but Spurs are flying.

Nice from Yves Bissouma as he evades a challenge with a clever turn on the edge of the Spurs box but his finish falls well wide. Still, it's a first serious attempt by Brighton who were rattled after Harry Kane's lovely finish.

Spurs have started really well. The same cannot be said about Brighton's keeper. Moments before the goal, Robert Sanchez gifted a big chance to Harry Kane with a sloppy pass.

Absolute class from Harry Kane. Brighton tried to play out from the back, they got it all wrong, Kane took it on the back foot and that is an unbelievable finish with a bit of curl right into the top corner.

    Vintage Kane.

The England captain is 22 yards out and in space when he bends it around Robert Sanchez and into the net.

It's a beauty and it's lift off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Graham Potter on a limited budget has this Brighton team playing some really good football. They need more goals but are definitely going in the right direction, a good team to watch.

Free-kick to Brighton about 25 yards out which is curled into the box but Hugo Lloris makes a confident claim.

By the way Stuart Attwell, who was on VAR duty at Manchester United last night, is the ref.

Will there be any controversy in this one?
