A quick ball is played through for Keinan Davis 20 yards out from goal.

His first touch is good but the shot flashes wide of the post.

Forest still doing most of the running in this so far.

Not exactly a tactical insight but this Nottingham Forest kit is... bright.

Hard to see how the referee missed Keinan Davis' almost being pulled off his back by Blades defender Femi Seriki a few minutes ago ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2022

    Huddersfield 2-0 Peterborough

Huddersfield so close to a third!

Ollie Turton's effort from distance takes a wicked deflection to loop up and over Posh keeper Dai Cornell and he can only watch as it bounces back off the bar.

Kwame Poku walks offImage source, PA Media

Not sure if this injury-related, tactical or what but Kwame Poku has been taken off by Posh boss Grant McCann with Ollie Norburn coming on.

Poku missed that great chance to halve Peterborough's deficit a few minutes ago.

Billy Sharp is fouledImage source, PA Media

Billy Sharp wins a free-kick for the home side after a slight nudge in his back from Joe Worrall.

It's about 30 yards out or so and the Blades try and be clever with it and... next time I think they'll probably just cross it in to the area.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Nott'm Forest

    CHANCE!

Keinan Davis drops a pass through for Phillip Zinckernagel to run on to but Blades keeper Wes Foderingham is off his line in a flash to smother his effort.

Moments later Davis thinks he should have a penalty for a shirt pull in the area. And he is absolutely right.

    Brennan Johnson is some player.

The Forest forward dances into the Blades area before the ball is hacked away.

Regardless of if the Reds manage to secure a Premier League return this season I'd expect Johnson to be strutting his stuff in the top flight next season.

  8. Postpublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2022

    Huddersfield 2-0 Peterborough

It's calmed down a bit after that frantic start at the John Smith's Stadium.

Huddersfield coolly controlling matters after that scare a few minutes back.

Duane Holmes is leading Posh a merry dance at times.

  9. Postpublished at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2022

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Nottingham Forest win three corners in quick succession.

The final one is cleared and the Blades pour forward.

It's played to Sander Berge and the Norway international's fierce shot stings the palms of Reds keeper Ethan Horvath.

    Great stuff.

  10. Chance!published at 20:00 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2022

    Huddersfield 2-0 Peterborough

Glaring opportunity for Posh to pull one back.

A fine cut-back finds Kwame Poku in plenty of space 12 yards from the Huddersfield goal.

But the Peterborough man side-foots weakly wide - the sort of finish that explains why the visitors have just nine away goals in 17 attempts this season.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Nott'm Forest

I said before the game that I hoped we'd see a lot of goals in this one and while we've not had any yet (unlike up the road at Huddersfield) we've certainly seen why these two teams are challenging up at the right end of the table.

Forest have had the better of it thus far but the Blades' home record under Paul Heckingbottom is exemplary.

First foray forward for the hosts.

Oliver Norwood sends in a dangerous free-kick that Billy Sharp can't quite grow enough to flick on, despite a pretty impressive leap.

Turns out he was offside anyway.

    Huddersfield 2-0 Peterborough

    Gaby Zakuani
Ex-Peterborough defender on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire

It's a nightmare start and you can see the frailties. No one picked up Tom Lees and he flicked it into the far corner.

It was a basic header because there was no-one near him.

Huddersfield haven't had to work for it, they haven't got out of first gear.

Everything that Grant McCann said to the players before the game has gone out of the window within the first eight minutes.

    Tom Lees (7 mins)

Game over already in west Yorkshire?

Tom Lees missed the Terriers' win at Birmingham with a cut to the head but it's clearly healed as he rises highest to nod home a corner and double Huddersfield's lead inside seven minutes.

Peterborough's away record this season reads W1 D1 L15 - it's hard to see any way back for them here.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Sheffield United haven't got going just yet.

Some lax passing at the back nearly lets Djed Spence in but his pass into the middle is cut out.

Spence is in superb form and they wont want to present him with too many chances in the final third.

Forest have come out and started really well. They've had two really good chances.

The Blades need to use their brain, get up the pitch and diffuse it.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Nott'm Forest

That is the kind of start we were hoping for!

In-form Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson cuts in on to his left foot and his shot takes a slight nick to force Blades goalkeeper Wes Foderingham into a fine save.

From the corner Aston Villa loanee Keinan Davis sends a glancing header just off target.

    Danel Sinani (3 mins)

What a start for the promotion-chasing Terriers!

Danel Sinani sends a sumptuous curler into the top corner from the edge of the box to reward Huddersfield's bright start.

Posh had already survived a couple of blocked shots in the build-up but when the ball came back out to Sinani, he left keeper Dai Cornell grasping thin air.
